Robber with bat tries to rob gun store...fail.

Moron? I think worse than Moron for sure!

That is why I have always said crimes committed just because there was an opportunity, he thought he had opportunity by using baseball bat, how stupid he is!

Trying to rob a gun shop is the worst place to rob! He could be easily killed,

It seems he failed to grasp some fundamentals. Like people that own gun stores might, you know, have some guns

Stupid is....as Stupid does....a good kick in the head might knock a little brains in the idiot!

I wonder if he just didn't think it through or he did and still thought it was a good idea?

It doesn't appear that thinking is something he excells at....

"thinking it through"??....:giggle:...maybe he thought his swing with the bat was faster than the speeding bullet.....

And I'm wondering why so many African-Blacks are in our prisons?.....

It's not his skin color that is the problem. There are white guys who are just as stupid.

For people who aren't familiar with gun shops (and pawn shops that sell guns) they don't realize that the staff personnel are wearing loaded sidearms.

This reminds me of this movie clip

Hard to believe given what they're charged with protecting. He's lucky he wasn't shot. I can only imagine what his family was thinking when they got the call from the station and heard the charges from the police. Maybe "He's always been such a good boy...."

pretty much in all gun stores - staff personnel are always armed... at least based on all gun stores I've been to in several different states except big chain stores like Cabelas.

What about the personnel in the firearms departments of the chain stores? Are they armed? It's been a while since I've been to a Cabelas in person, so I don't remember.

If anyone tried to rob our local gun shop they would have about a dozen guns trained on them in a flash. All the employees, men and women, young and old, are armed there. Not to mention there's usually off duty (armed) cops visiting there shopping or using the range.

Our shop also has concrete barriers out front so no one can drive thru the doors.

yea that's what I mean. I don't think they're armed. might be prohibited due to store policy? :dunno:

I thought that in order to have a license to sell guns in a retail store the dealers had to be armed?

Good question--store policy or guns sales law?
