You know what's damaging? That newspaper headline saying it was "beer" but they have no proof of that other than it looked like a beer bottle but says nothing on what's inside that bottle. Could be anything. It could be beer. I think it's irresponsible journalism.

Yeah, I agree with Kokonut. It doesn't look like a beer to me when I saw the picture from OP's post... to me, it look like a pop can in a bottle or something.

In my opinion, if it was a bottle being used to hold water, the adults could have chosen a non-alcholic bottle. However, if the child was drinking beer and the adults knew about it, that's a felony, I believe.

See the video I posted.. it's got to be the two old people to his right or the guy in a red shirt holding the lollipop candy thing on his left.
Which one you think is the kid's caretaker? |

It looks real to me. No doubt about it. And yes it is possible that there is beer in it, otherwise how did the water get in there, even a little of warm beer in it? A child that age never mind the taste of any kind of drinks. This is baseball game, any child could get a hold of any kind of drink as long there are in the way.
Of course friends, parents or grandparents could get carried away at home watching any baseball or football games and they could have missed so easy that any child could get hold of their drinks. Most men are obsessed with sports and cannot take their eyes off the screen, and they could ignore what they give to a child...till they get caught or with the wife's I-will-kill-you-later look... My little cousin loves to drink beer even she was little as 4 or 5 years old. Children don't always need to get expression to like or dislike any drink. Every time my family watch football on Thanksgiving, she would beg my uncle for his beer so he let her have it. She didn't mind the taste one bit at all. Image it was in the 80's and way back then things were a lot different than today's world. May God rest my uncle in peace... And this is in Philadelphia? I am not surprised at all...

Actually in some states if they are with a parent......still legal. However I doubt there is beer in the bottle. Most likely it was late in the game and the adults had consumed a beer then put water from a fountain rather than pay $5 for a bottled water. Who knows.....but that's my guess.

I still think the parent or guardian may have found the bottle on the ground, washed it in the bathroom, and filled it with water.
I know I would not pay 5 dollars a bottle for water.. I would rinse and repeat!! LOL I have done it many times with plastic containers and empty bottles.. and helped myself to the water fountain to fill it up. Using a beer bottle is in poor taste, and I highly doubt that was beer in the bottle.. |
