What kind of sports do you practise? For how long? How many times per week?

Just curious how many people are actually physically active, besides being a couch potato and surfing on AD

Plus I'm bored and the forum seems to be dead. Are people on vacation in the US or what????

Most of my sports consists of walking, weight training, and the like. Not much practice time required. I like table tennis, but have nobody to play. Never was a practice person anyway.

just few years ago when I was in college - I used to play roller hockey few times a week. Now i'm a coach potato because nobody around here plays it and it's too cold. I found brooklyn group from meetup.com that they do play a game on weekend so I'm up for it! :mad2:

I'm a mix of both. I try to go to gym couple times a week and just waiting for weather to get warm so I can do stuff. :cool2:

I love it and I'm good... nobody wants to play with me 'cause I'm always winning... (it's true!) :giggle: I play tennis with the boys during summer ;)

I for myself have been an artistic gymnast ever since the age of 4 years. I went all the way through till the age of 22. Then I stopped...

In between I also joined athletic team where I performed in high jump, javelot and 100m.

In school we played volley and basketball. I joined the ice-hockey team for one year while in Canada. That was awesome! While in school in Australia I played badminton A LOT!!!!!

So, you could say I'm a sports person... except for extreme sports!!!! don't like those :cool2:

Jamie

badminton = it's bad-ASS! :mad2:
v-ball = love it to death :mad2:
ice hockey = played it during my senior high school :mad2:
100m = i suck at it but my coach said "so... you gonna give up?" and of course.. my answer was :mad2:

extreme sports = it's my mojo now :mad2:

Badminton is fun (just like racket ball) if you know how to play... I'm good at it ;)
Volleyball's ok for me... I don't LOVE it but I also don't hate it!
Ice-hockey was fun for me because my coordination was so bad... but I still enjoyed being on the ice EVERY single time... No matter how much fun the other girls were making of me :(

Darts is only the sports that I play competitively. I will take part in Ontario Deaf Sports Association (ODSA) Darts Tournament on April 17-18, 2009.

Floor hockey, curling, slopitch, fastpitch, basketball, beach volleyball and ice skating are sports that I do for fun although I do not do them often.

I need to restart my weight and cardio training soon although I have my program set up and ready.

I forget to add that I do ping pong and flag football, too for fun only.

duh..... they're just very jealous that hockey players are hitting on you :cool2:

Training for a sprint triathlon in August, so I'm starting to swim once or twice a week for an hour. Running 2-3 times a week. Gym 1-2 times a week. Also trying to play tennis with a friend at least once a week, even though I suck at it. Planning on buying a bike soon (doing spinning for now at the gym). Might take up rollerblading again now it's warmer. I used to do a LOT of racquetball and ultimate frisbee in college but no one to play with now. :( If someone invites me to play a sport, chances are that I'll join, no matter what the sport is.

I seriously doubt so, since I was more busy falling onto my ass than actually playing hockey :giggle: besides I tried to avoid any sort of male being within a ten feet radius

WOW, I'm impressed because I tried triathlon but failed miserably... well I wasn't last but still... :D I have a slight preference for biathlon ;)

Please keep us posted when you do the triathlon sprint in August! I wanna know

I probably will fail this one. I do a lot of sports but that doesn't mean I have great endurance. I'm more of a power person than a stamina person. This triathlon is a BABY one: 3 mile run, 6 mile bike, 400m swim. What about the one you tried?

Honestly I'm not sure I remember well... 7.5km running, 12 km biking and 1km swimming... :dizzy:

ETA: I swear I don't remember if this is correct... all I know is that it was loooong ;)

I play everything but football and baseball are my most favorite sports of all time.

Grew up hardcore athlete...especially with fast-pitching softball and competive swimming. I got a college softball scholarship as a pitcher in the early 90s.

I would jump at any chance to play any sports as a child was able to pick up the skills quickly.

Now, because of my age, time, and money, I am limited to running, weightlifting, kickboxing, and dancing.

I wish I can play on a softball team this summer but I am afraid that my feet problems will return so I think I am done with softball. :(

I'm running 15-20 miles, biking about 100 miles a week and swim practice 3 times a week. Currently training for a triathlon in April, May and July. I love gymnastics, ultimate frisbee, soccer and biking.
