Cool Any Nascar fans here?

Is there any members here that likes Nascar? If so, which Nascar Cup series do you prefer, the Nextel or the Busch Series...? And also, which driver(s) do you like, even if it's more than one driver...?

I personally like the Nextel Cup Series...where the bigger names races in...and some of the drivers I like is as follows: Sterling Marlin, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Kevin Harvick, Matt Kenseth and Mark Martin...there is one driver that really is interesting to watch and does looks like he may become a phenomenal driver in the future as he's a rookie driver...and that is Kasey Kahne, driving the number 9 car. Anything else you would like to add, go for it....

I used to follow NASCAR and watch it whenever I see it on TV. Liked to watch Dale Earhardt, Jeff Gordon, a few others as well. Just been a bit behind on watching it these days.

I'm not exactly a Nascar fan. I do watch some of the races when I'm bored though.

I loves NASCAR. I am big fan of DEI.
I like Nextal and Busch series. I watched them on tv since I was 8.
My rule # 1 is I hate Jeff Gordon #24.
Excuse me. I am watching now.

Don't follow Nascar, although I have a good idea of who Jeff Gordon is. One of my exes had a picture of him on his living room wall. He was mighty proud of that man...or envious, you pick!!

Well, guess what? Gordon wins it today under the caution/yellow flag...*sighs*...when the caution was brought out on lap 4 or 5, and I sure was thinking they would restart on lap 2, but apparently didn't and finished the race under the caution, I was kinda disappointed that they didn't restart with at least two laps remaining...*shrugs*...I don't too much care for Jeff Gordon either, but I do respect him as a man and driver, so therefore, my hat's off to him for the win today!!

Anyway, I glad that Jr is still lead for point standing.

Talking Ohhh la la.. French-Canadians!

Jacques Villenuve has always been my number one driver, I followed him from Formula One to Nascar. Jacques has always been compared too often to his late father, Gilles, which I believe is unfair because both Gilles and Jacques, respectively have their own spotlight. The fact they're French-Canadians also helps!!! Vive le Canada!!!

The final outcome is still unofficial...it's worth noting that after the race, Earnhardt had mentioned that once he had passed the number 24 car and passing the caution lights and noting that the yellow light wasn't even on....It'll be interesting to see how this turns out, when a caution is up, the field is frozen immediately....I still think there may be a possibility that the number 8 car was indeed in front of the 24 car prior to the activation of the caution....although, Jeff Gordan went to the victory lane and celebrated...wouldn't it be something if Nascar did overturn the final standings and rewarded Earnhardt the victory?! However, Earnhardt was polite enough to say that it wasn't something he was going stomp his feet about....shows true character of sportmanship!

Huh? I dont recall Jacques Villeneuve doing NASCAR.....

He did CART Indy Car (the old series before the Indy Racing League-CART war ) before jumping over to Formula One. During his time there, he won the Indianapolis 500 in 1995.

NASCAR fan here!

I watch the NASCAR when I can.

My favorite drivers are:
Dale Earnhardt Jr. (Budweiser, 8, Chevy)
Bill Elliot (Dodge, 9, Dodge)
Sterling Marlin (Coors Light, 40, Dodge)

I personally love those Dodge cars but Earnhardt Jr is a expection because I loved the Earnhardts!

Number 3,
Forever in our heart!

I am a BIG fan of Nextel Cup.. I loves Little E (Dale Earnhardts Jr.) and his red Budweiser car. He got a fast car and I just love his driving stunts.

My previous favorite was Big E (Dale Earnhardts - #3) and I bawled my eyes out when he died from hitting the wall.

I have been in Darlington Race Track, Dover Race Track, Bristol Track, Martinsville Track, Richmond Track, Charlotte Track and Daytona Beach Track.
My favorite to go watch NASCAR is in Daytona Beach Track.

FYI....Bill Elliott is semi-retired right now. Kasey Kahne took over the #9 car this year.

Kahne was so close to winning this year with 2 2nd places. Look for him to be the next Jeff Gordon (after all Kahne is driving for Evernham)....

Heard of the Grand Prix, and have watched it several times in the past...and the cars are more capable of achieving more speed in these races and is also fun to watch too....although, I'll stick to Nascar as the popularity of this sport has risen over the past few years....but Red~Rum, enjoy your Grand Prix races with your hubby!!!

Cool

Any of you have any idea who's gonna win the Fontana race in California tomw. (May 2nd)? I'm going with either Kasey Kahne or Kevin Harvick....it's about time one of those two win a race...as for Harvick, he's a California native...although, it's more likely someone else may win it....if so, I'd rather have my fav driver win, Sterling Marlin, the number 40 Coors car....let's hope for a great race tomw....*awaiting for the race to start!!*...Enjoy the race!

Yes, it's on tomw. the 2nd of May at 3pm. ET on the Fox channel...

Wow, your house must be awfully close to the dirt track in order for your house to get caked with dirt!! Must be nice to have a 'house-seat' for the races!!

*raise my hand* I am NASCAR fan.

When Dale Earnhardt, Sr. died, I was upset and sad for NASCAR. Everything was on newspaper. Then one year later (2002), I met my ex-girlfriend online who was NASCAR fan. I became really addicted to NASCAR after that. I influence my parents to get interested in NASCAR. Now, 2004, I am still fan of NASCAR. Right now, I am trying to influence my current girlfriend to get interests in NASCAR. I visited 2 racetracks (Darlington Raceway and Atlanta Motor Speedway). I have goal to visit Daytona International Speedway.
