I'm a BIG Spurs fan, but I saw this recently. His name is Lance Allred and he plays for Cleveland. Their coach left SA a few years ago and Devin Brown is a local legend. I hope Lance has a long career.
Cavs' Allred leaves a memorable impression - Cleveland Sports News – The Latest Breaking News, Game Recaps and Scores from The Plain Dealer He even got into the last game of the season and scored. This is from the recap. ESPN - Detroit vs. Cleveland - Recap - April 16, 2008 Cleveland rookie center Lance Allred, believed to be the NBA's first legally deaf player, scored his first career point when he banked in a free throw in the third quarter. Later, he scored his first field goal on another bank -- this one intentional -- with 19 seconds left. |
