Hello, I am looking for someone to SKYPE with to practice and increase my knowledge of ASL!! I have a webcam but no mic, but that shouldn't be a problem. I know a little bit but I want to increase what I know.... I'm hoping to go to school this fall and will be taking ASL for all my electives. I want to be able to pass the NC ASL Interpreter Certification Test... apparently you don't need a degree, just need to be able to pass the test. Hi - I'm in the first year of asl class and need to practice. just set up a skype account. not sure how to proceed. any beginner asl students want to practice?

Hi, I'm Adam! I took ASL in high school and my first year of college. I really haven't used ASL in conversation since then (so about 3, maybe 4 years) until recently. I started attending a few deaf events around my town and realized how much I have forgotten. I'm looking to meet some cool people to chat with to improve my ASL skills. I may be able to help some students who are starting to learn ASL also.

My skype name is raye127. I would be more than willing to download any other video chat software if needed. I'm almost always signed into skype (either my laptop or cell phone) so if I don't answer you, don't take it personally... I'm probably not at the computer!

I am 26 and live in North Alabama.

I have been taking care of people with developmental disabilities for about 4 years now. We have had a new client within the last 6 months that is deaf and it saddens me that she has no one to talk to. Also from other houses I have seen where workers only know how to tell them "stop" or "sit down" I want to become an advocate within this company for those clients. I am currently on maternity leave so I have about 6 months to focus on learning.

Hey! I'm new to this site, first time chatting in a forum. I'd love to practice signing with anyone, i'm fairly fluent but always trying to improve and sign clearer!! I'd love to chat with anyone who's advanced, at my level and want to practice together, or anyone learning that needs help or just practice! How do we set up chat meetings? I have skype, I'm not really familiar to the other kinda of video chat, vp, online group chatrooms, etc. How are they different from skype? just wondering. but ya, if anyone wants to chat, im usually free all weekend, just shoot me a message or something :]

Keep up the learning! There are a lot of online ASL courses you can check out while at home with the baby. Oh, and congratulations too! =)

Hey again! I still haven't found a partner to use FaceTime with on my MAC. I could really use the practice. I've still been practicing on my own and it's not doing me much good conversationally. Can anyone help?
