Thinking of taking up sign
I live in Vancouver, BC and I am wondering if there are places that can teach me sign and meet other HoH or deaf people that are 18 or older (my age), as In my school no one is hard of Hearing or deaf.

Hi Vancouver! I used to live in North Van but live in Calgary now. Contact the Vancouver branch of the Canadian Hard of Hearing Association (just google it for contact info.), I am sure they can tell you who is offering sign language courses. Good luck BCDeaf, let me kow how you make out ok?

I live in Vancouver, B.C. too. You are in luck...there are awesome ASL classes at the Vancouver Community College on Broadway (King Edward Campus), in Vancouver. All of their teachers are deaf, and they would be able to get you connected with our deaf community here. There are also a few deaf social events around here but you would need to go to Greater Vancouver Association for the Deaf and get subscribed to their eNews so that you can get regular updates on events. Let me know if you have more questions! Good luck
