PSE and ASL...
I'm a PSE user, only because that is the sign language I grew up with (however sporadic as it may have been) due to the fact that my family and teachers wanted me to remain oral and excel in the English language. *It worked, obviously...*
So I was wondering, does it make one less accepted in the Deaf community if they are PSE signers but are desiring to become more of an ASL signer? I happen to want to learn more ASL but the only sign I use is PSE and the sign language class is PSE as well.

Invariably, there will always be some deaf people who will snub their noses at those who do not sign ASL as fluently as they do. However, I think most deaf people are accepting of others with different comfort levels of sign, as long as one deaf person can understand another.
