I want to thank you sign lang interpreters so much on behalf of people who are playing this game. I actually signed up with the same strategy as QtheC, also trying to get help from you guys... was surprised someone beat me to it.

I realize this is probably a horrible video to work with, but please, please try your best. You would be helping thousands of people... granted, it's not life or death, but we are pretty insane fans following this internet thing.

ANd yes, word for word, letter for letter translation as much as possible. As Q mentioned, we think there is a letter/number code hidden in this video... it would look like gibberish, like IQXZ1NT32, to give an example. I have also emailed my friend who understands signing and also plays this game.

Sorry to disturb the peace of your forum!

Several of us have tried I even had my girlfriend look at it and she can read fingerspelling at a much faster rate than I can, it has already been interpreted as much as it can be the fingerspelling is so sloppy and once the signers hands move over to the white part of the t-shirt i lose any ability to interpret anything that is being said.

It almost looks like it isn't ASL but maybe a different country's sign language. I know it can't be BSL because of the one-handed fingerspelling, but I absolutely couldn't understand it.

I was just saying last night that I really hope whatever important bits of information come out of this Lost game are repeated on the show, because I really don't want to have to work this hard to get vital plot points! I just want to watch the show.

"The Experience" is supposed to end before LOST Season 3 begins in the U.S. (I think), and I am sure there will be summaries written for those who just want the main points without playing the game and bothering with all the details.

If you want to read some summaries of the Experience so far, there is a pretty good reference thread here Is it too late to start the experience? - The Fuselage (see post #2 by QuinceTheCarpenter - that's me). It lists 'how to catch up' references.

The biggest source of plot related information is the Hanso video we are slowly piecing together - right now we have about 42 of 70 video fragments. That will be quite interesting when it is complete, probably in 2-5 weeks.

Thanks again to those that helped with the translation of that very difficult to view signing in the Chocolate video. There is a thread discussing it here 08/17/06 - subLYMONal chocolate clue -- phone hint and ASL vid - Source: sublymonal - The Fuselage , if anyone is interested.
