Interesting how this brings up cochlear implants, and how CS before implanting improves the effect of the CI.... Hmmm....what happened to "implant as early as possible"?

The interesting thing here is how it focuses on visual skills (except for the deaf-blind part), when the current trend seems to be "audio only". Thanks for sharing it.

Nothing happened to it. The statement simply says that CS has a significant positive effect on the ability to benefit from the implant. It in no way suggests that early intervention (regardless of the method) is no longer valid.
