It was called " Lottery winner" he said that i won 2 million dollars. he gave me all his info, i checked out with union western bank. The bank teller told me it was a false!.

they asked me to pay $ 800.00 for insurance to get my $ 2 million dollars, WTF crap BS. I told him use the winner money to pay for it, He said cannot do that then give me a formal paper to sign for permission to give me the money, he cannot do that.

I got this letter from grocery store. Someone put it on my car window stein last night.

The Financial Blessing Letter

Greetings! This is NOT a chain letter. It asks for no money, only participation. The original version of this letter is in the New England area of the United States and has circled the globe nine times. This letter has been sent to you because someone wants you to receive a financial blessing. You will receive a financial blessing within four days of receiving this letter. It must leave your hands within 96 hours (four days). Send NO money as fate has a price.

Some examples:

As United States Air Force officer received $470,000.00 after he mailed his 20 copies. Jack Elliot received over $40,000.00 but then lost it because he didnít send his 20 copies. While in the Philippines Gene Welch lost his wife 51 days after receiving this letter, which he failed to circulate. After circulating his copies, he received $7,500.000.00.

Since this letter must tour the world, please make 20 copies of this letter and send them to friends, relatives, associates and even people you donít know!

SEE WHAT HAPPENS IN FOUR DAYS!

You will get a surprise! This is true even if you donít believe in blessings!

Need ideas! Send it by mail to people who send you mail. Or use the phone books, or scan this into your email and send it to others who have email. Or type it into another language if you are bi-lingual, or send to friends or people around the world.

oddly enough there is an advertisement for a internet lottery at the bottom of this page - how nice of them to advertise here...... sigh.

There is just no getting away from internet fraud. First and foremost dont put out sensitive information such as your home address or bank account number. Also never store passwords on your computer. I can easily bust those in 5 minutes then boom Im in your personal files. Storing that type of stuff on any computer is just bad juju. I just simply memorize my passwords, and anything containing my address, phone number, SSN, bank account number, I shred and immediately dispose of. I also stay away from the tax and banking software as it requires you store your sensitive info within that software to use it effectively. And for dang sure do not store tis stuff on a laptop as it is just as portable for theives as it is for you.

this is why i think the ads here on AD is a SUREFIRE way for anyone to attempt getting scammed, I got sooo many scam and junk emails now from my forum, so im turning those off AND turning off registration until i can get a way of filtering these! this is TOO much hassle in every aspect.

umm im looking here and i see a lottery * strach off* ALEX u shld filter this out! or the best option is turn off anything general and leave DEAF related stuff in this forum! because this is now getting increased with us ADers getting scammed! thank god my AIM is set only for friends i add, AND why i dont adveriste my AIM nor my EMails this is one best option i have used for yrs and has worked so far * knock on wood* please think abt this! we're getting these type of things coming from AD to the OUTSIDE so what does that tell us?

turn off the ads cuz it will make pop ups virus and Scammers prone to BS

well both FF and IE both have pop-up blockers pre-installed in them - it was the main reason why I was using FF before my laptop purchase. Now Im fine to use IE, but should IE start giving me problems - Im switching back to FF.

Also check out my fishy thread for the latest email scam Ive come across.

Right i understand your point here dixie, but look down on ur ads still showing LOTTO still showing stuff that SHLD NOT be in here cuz this is a way for ANYONE to get emails/IM/whatnots they can find ways to find out ur ip address use the email generator hackers u name it they will find it thru whatever threads ur using. So a hint: cut the ads down to ONLY Deaf related informations this is ALLDEAF not ALLSCAM IMO

I agree with your point java, - I was making an observation with my post. But Im not 100% sure that Alex has complete control over what GoogleAds chooses to advertise. Yes this is primarily a deaf forum - BUT if you notice the ads tend to go with whatever the thread is about.

GoogleBot scans each page every x-seconds and places an ad there based on what the page content is using key words that are typed in by various posters.

Such as a thread about the latest Harry Potter book will have an ad for Harry Potter related stuff and so forth with any other subject.

BUT if you notice on the mainpage of All Deaf - ALL ads are Deaf related.

Send a message via AIM to aslpup
I just got the same aim message from deafagent06 with the same exact message. since this is the only place I have my aim broadcasted, in a deaf forum, this is where they got it. too bad they are using this forum to contact people with their scams.
I can always spot a scam.
