Looks good and eventally they'll work with ReSound Hearing Aids as well

AB and Phonak; Cochlear and Resound. It's cool that the CI companies are teaming up with hearing aid manufacturers and working together. I'm really excited for the new BTE from AB.

Are there actually any hearing aids from ReSound that are suitable for severe to profound?

yep, there's the Resounds Alera 962 that my buddy is rocking, there's the Verso that lipreading mom has (her loss is actually plain severe in the highs like mine) and the Sparx which takes up a 675!

now wearing a black Oticon Nera in L ear and purple Oticon Safari 600 P in R ear til I get a black one for that side in January
