I remembered I sneak out of a high school (in 1977) on the Friday lunch time, drove my car to the waterfront about 5 miles, park on the resident street, walk 2 blocks to the Grand Prix site. I first walk toward the place was hairpin on the Shoreline Drive at the Ocean Blvd, just fenced around the hairpin with no concrete barriers and no ticket booth, just stand close the race lines where the F1 cars trained around the hairpin (practice runs), feel massive vibrates from exhaust pipes of the cars when exiting from the hairpin. I smell awesome raw menthol exhaust gas too. Never forget that one..
