Carpal Tunnel

Really? How long ago that ur mom had a carpal tunnel surgery? I plan not to rush to have surgery. I wear wrist splits for my both wrists that my specialist gave me for while. If I hear from hand surgeon with appointment to discuss...I will ask surgeon to see what percent that carpal tunnel be successful and also ask about pro and con.

Thanks for the suggestion. :ty:

it was past before 2000, she's sort of glad she didn't have surgery on both hands... just one but she wished she never surgery... sometime surgery will be successful but there are pro and cons as well...

i'm also curious, does it makes your hand or fingers cramp too ? I dont know if its similar or not. because more often, my fingers does cramp up for brief time as for example when i try to open the jar lid when it s tight, then it started to cramp up so i let it go for short time and tried again, sometimes it still come back, sometimes it didn't. so i'm wondering if it does make your hand or fingers cramp too ?

Umm, when I try to open jar lid or something, it does bother my wrists. Not really cramp. Just pain and uncomfortable. Feel numb and tingle during the middle of night.

Maybe u need to see doctor and find out what it is. Maybe tendonitis or other.

i do have it in my left hand.. its mild.. but in my right hand.. its worse and i also have tendenitis from my old job as i was cutting the ribeye and the muscle just snapped.. i could hear the POP .. it hurts!!!! i had therapy for both of my hands.. it helped ALOTS.. I wear braces at night time and when it hurts.. not need surgery.. but my right hand is weak.. its never the same again... my left hand is still strong i guess cuz i am a right handed.. go figures.. hehe.. :D

I had 8 surgeries of caparal tunnels.... after all therpay and excerises,, no help at all.... wore braces,,, no help.. so surgeries was last options... last surgery worked.. i did not have any problem anymore for 12 yrs... dr told me when using keyboard.. keep wrists flat and straight.. so i got stuff to support my wrists while i type... it works...

I like to add that when you sit by the desk.. make sure u sit on chair right and your arms should be higher above the keyboard .. you feel comfy to type and it wont hurt...

The tip was given to me by my sister as she is a secretary at Boeing co in california.. and i did what she said and she is right. it WORKED.... :D

Natural Nut Weighing IN

B-6 will often times eliminate the symptoms of carpal tunnel.

If you decide to take B-6 also take a multiple B supplement (all B vitamins)
in addition because Bs need each other to work, but CT needs extra B-6.

If you are taking extra calcium (as many of us women are) you may find
that a slow release magnesium tablet will get rid of many of your aches
and pains.

Splint and hot and cold applications are very good.

An alternative to NSAIDS would be to take a digestive enzyme
(a complete formula) on an empty stomach 3 times a day with
a large glass of water. (make sure there is no HCL in your formula)
digestive enzymes taken on an empty stomach are anti inflamatory

as always inform your doctor of any supplements you intend to take.
I prefer to inform my pharmacist though. They will be more up to date
on possible OTC/PERSCRIPTION drug inetereactions

Thank you for suggestions, sharing, etc. I have an appt to see hand surgeon this week for discussion before I made a decision. Thank again. :ty:
