SmartVP with Telephone Signaler?

hi, i got question and is in help to find the slove the problem. i have smartvp from purple, so i bought sonic alert telephone signaler and i plugged it in the back of smartvp and made test if it is works but seem it didnt work at all for sonic alert telephone signal. is there any i suppose change any settings in smartvp or ... ? i need your help, please. for find this to solve. because i have sonic alert device to alert if someone try call me, the doorbell works perfectly so im not sure why telephone signaler isn't working? many thanks!
