Why does this read like a scam, troll or phishing post? Tells absolutely nothing about themselves or even their own gender (though assumed from username) interests etc.

We get plenty of these posters. They come and go. I don't think it means the poster is necessarily a scammer or phisher. Some are not used to making a good intro.
