Here are a few connected dots .... I'll play nice. Building the Keystone Pipeline will have implications that reverberate on a global scale. Embarking on the project will indicate, to friend and foe alike, around the world, that we are going to be the dominant energy player around the world, particularly in oil and gas.

Being the dominant force that provides energy does quite a few things that are in our favor. OPEC can no longer manipulate our economy for one thing.
