What format are you looking at to sell your books on...what do you write?

writer&Artist yearly index It got every conceivable address publisher, agents. publications who can be unsolicited and those that wont...every detail from all over the world general and sepcialised..
It not cheap to buy last time I saw it for sale 2011 it was £35 you have work out $ I would imagine it lot more now..
The index must be as thick as bible thousands of address

My partner is a writer and has been published several times (both fiction and non-fiction). Here is something he has noticed over the past 15 years.... anything you submit for publication must be "print ready". This means publishers no long employ copy editors like they once did. Writers are expected to submit manuscripts that are written in concise English, conforming to all rules of grammar (some exception permitted when it is intentional). Manuscripts that need a lot of correction and work are rejected because it isn't cost effective for the publisher to hire someone to re-write your book.

I can also tell you that the average amount of time most writers spend on writing a single book can range from several months to several decades. Successful commercial books are precisely crafted. Even well written books can expect dozens of rejection letters.

If you know these things going into such an endeavor, you will take the steps necessary to avoid wasting your time. My advice to you is to make your first writing attempts at short stories (if you want to write fiction), or essays and research articles (if you want to write non-fiction). Non-fiction will need to be thoroughly documented and footnoted for any publisher. Non-fiction goes through a very different process because publishers don't want to be sued for printing "non-fiction" that isn't.

Good luck!

I know someone who wrote Mill&BOON myself hate them never could stomack that sort of thing but so hard.she showed me,you have to feel each emotion be the protagonist you also have at least 5 or more stories ready for publishing..Often they don't use your name but an established M&B WRITER who retired
I know they sound simple throw away booklets anyone can do but that far from the truth

What do you like to read?
There is a wealth of help online, regarding writing, sources, courses, free or paid,
Writing is a craft, so i suggest you starty writng, something, anything, if you dont already...
Stick with it...plow through...

it shame copy writers becoming thing of the past

Look for a creative writing class near you...
Just start writing..
Can you write a small short story?
The act of writing in writing a book or anything is the last part of a process..not the first. So besides taking creative writing class...
You need to write...keep writng practice the craft and the art...practice. practice...practice......and learn the craft.
Research what your going o write about...and know the topic well.
So..
What do you want to.write...a book? A cook book? A book on sex toys? A novel love story told from the snouts of two pooches paws over heals for eachother? how to make a home made nuke? Or serial killers most charmd moments ? A jesus book?
What do you want to.write about?

First you are going to need to take a remedial English class, because you won't sell anything the way you write now.

There is a deaf author active here on Alldeaf somewhere, and his second mystery is about to come out. He's really quite good, but he does understand how to write English prose.

 I really can't sustain writing skills that would pass an editor for any length of time.

But I am realistic about my weaknesses, and will just enjoy the craft of writers who can write.

I tried read 50 shades but standard of writing so awful I gave up after less than 30 pages..how she got that passed an editor amazing

Was that written by a lady?
Sex sells

Turn off your cell phone and Facebook. Don't look within yourself (cause only hunger and passions you will find), look on others and nature always. Read a lot and when you write don't ask yourself what you feel, but what your reader is feeling.
