This sounds like a bad idea to me. It's going to put more Americans lives at risk .

Sen. Feinstein is dumb. She and her investigators didn't even interviewed the actual CIA officers who were involved in good works.

Dick Cheney..... such a horrible stain in our values... what an evil vile man

Dick Cheney did a valuable service to this nation. More so than you ever did. Please show respect.

such as?

and if you had to tell me to show him a respect... it means Dick Cheney does not deserve any respect. a person should never ever demand anyone to show a respect.

He was Vice President of the United States. Just because he was and is a republican does not give you any right whatsoever to label him as a vile and evil man. You do not even know him, other than he is VP of the US. I do realize you have an innate and deeply held liberal bias towards all conservatives - but WE are not evil, nor are WE vile. So go pound sand.

Every single CIA operative that waterboarded deserves a friggin medal - not to be made out to be criminals by an anti Constitution administration that is covering up Benghazi and Fast and Furious and conveniently loses emails.

oh you know him?

you? exactly what role did you have in Bush Administration?

and do you believe liberals are evil and vile?

he was a vile and evil man - regardless of his political affiliation because everything he did was against the Constitution and our values.

What Dick Cheney did was nothing comparable to Benghazi and Fast & Furious. As far as I'm concerned... nothing was fruitfully produced from "enhanced interrogations".

Bush is a good man and he did his damnest but what Dick Cheney did was the most evil thing the humanity has ever witnessed. What do you think why the relationship between Bush and Cheney had gone sour?

Does Torture Work? The C.I.A.’s Claims and What the Committee Found
“Within days of the raid on UBL’s compound, CIA officials represented that CIA detainees provided the ‘tipoff’ information on Abu Ahmad al-Kuwaiti. A review of CIA records found that the initial intelligence obtained, as well as the information the CIA identified as the most critical — or the most valuable — on Abu Ahmad al-Kuwaiti, was not related to the use of the CIA's enhanced interrogation techniques.”

“A review of CIA operational cables and other CIA records found that the use of the CIA’s enhanced interrogation techniques played no role in the identification of ‘Jose Padilla’ or the thwarting of the Dirty Bomb or Tall Buildings plotting.”

“CIA records indicate the CIA became aware of the initial plotting as early as September 2002, and that it was disrupted in April 2003, when the remaining plot leaders were arrested in a unilateral operation by Pakistani authorities.”
CIA was already aware of the plot to attack US Embassy in Pakistan before Ammar al-Baluchi and Khallad bin Attash were interrogated but Bush credited CIA's interrogation for preventing the attack.

“The Second Wave plotting was disrupted with the arrest and identification of key individuals ... unrelated to any reporting acquiring during or after the use of the CIA’s enhanced interrogation techniques against CIA detainees. Likewise, the al-Ghuraba group was identified by a detainee who was not in CIA custody.”

“Iyman Faris was identified, investigated, and linked directly to al-Qa’ida prior to any mention of Iyman Faris by KSM or any other CIA detainee. When approached by law enforcement, Iyman Faris voluntarily provided information and made self-incriminating statements.”

“A review of records indicates that the Heathrow Airport and Canary Wharf plotting had not progressed beyond the initial planning stages when the operation was fully disrupted with the detentions of Ramzi bin al-Shibh, KSM, Ammar al-Baluchi, and Khallad bin Attash. None of these individuals were captured as a result of reporting obtained during or after the use of the CIA’s enhanced interrogation techniques against CIA detainees.”

“The information Abu Zubaydah provided while being subjected to the CIA's enhanced interrogation techniques was described by CIA interrogators as ‘significant new details.’ However, the information provided by Abu Zubaydah was similar to information Abu Zubaydah provided prior to the application of the CIA’s enhanced interrogation techniques, or was otherwise already known to the CIA.”
Bush credited CIA's interrogation for capture of Abu Zubaydah which the committee found no evidence of that. The investigation found that Abu Zubaydah had already revealed information to FBI - without being tortured.

“Contrary to CIA representations, there are no CIA records to support the assertion that Abu Zubaydah, Ramzi bin al-Shibh, or any other CIA detainee played any role in the ‘the planning and execution of the operation that captured Khalid Sheikh Mohammed.'”

and lastly.....

The C.I.A. acknowledged that its statements were sometimes inaccurate or speculative, and promised to do better in the future.
