In a story straight out of the deepest recesses of the WTF files, Wells Fargo Bank has filed a lawsuit against itself.

Wells Fargo Bank filed a civil complaint against itself in a mortgage foreclosure case in Hillsborough County, Florida due to what the bank claims is a requirement under local law.

If the bank wins the lawsuit, do they have to pay themselves? If they lose, they pay the lawyers?

Guess RIP goes another bank.

How does that work? If Wells Fargo wins the suit, Wells Fargo loses and vice versa?

That's the strangest thing I've ever heard. Why in the world would a company want to sue themselves! Something tells me that things are not looking well on the books so they are suing themselves to cover up a potentially disastrous mistake.
