If they aren't sealing the building, they probably aren't but claim to be. Probably a rip off.

you can get them anywhere, sitting in a chair, on a couch, movies, in a car/bus.... even clothes that were tried on in the fitting rooms by someone who has them

I know , I been lucky so far in trying on clothes :rl: to bedbugs!

Yeah, and another way I have heard is the use of heat but dunno how effective that is.....

Dunno but if there is a bedbug infestation, one of the steps to take is put all the clothing, towels, and etc in a dryer and set it up at high heat. When done, put all of the items in trash bags and seal them for a few days to make sure they all die. Very very time consuming process. I had to do that for 6 months straight when we had a bed bug problem before it was finally solved. It was so stressful and exhausting.

never seen one in my life not known anyone with them, but saw documentary on tv about bug extermination in States, you all running alive with them..People sleep on same mattress for years 5years is maximum

:hugs: I remember. Hope it will not happen again and to anyone. :(

Be careful of renting out Mattress/boxsprings from a Rental Furniture Company too!...even buying used mattress....From what I've known, Bleach kills them too....and have heard that Bed Bugs can live up to 1 year without feeding....Vacuuming sofas, chairs and floors often (even every day) can help, changing the vacuum bag often....And as Sono stated, high heat will do the job also. One exterminator said to turn your thermostat on "high heat" and leave the apartment/house for several days.....Many hardware stores have Bug Bed Spray also...wise to buy several cans and use them 1x a week on mattress/boxsprings and around the Bed...keeping all bedding off the floors.

I spray alcohol on my bedding several times a month, even my sofas and chairs....

My friend had them too and when she signed the Lease on her apartment, stating the apartment was Bed Bug Free....later that year, she had them and had to pay an $350 extermination fee. She hasn't seen or been bitten since them.

:( i think i will avoid my friend for a while until her problem solves first.

:aw:...understandable, Frisky...It happens to the nicest & cleanest people too....and as I've said for years, Insects are taking over the world....:giggle:....Prevention is the key here...even if you don't have Bed Bugs...good idea to buy the Spray and use it 1x a week if you live in an apartment or someone you know has them and comes over to visit...just ignoring them will only cause infestation....got to nip it in the bud...and use precautions.

Where I live, they exterminate every week, and it seems to be doing a pretty good job here. I have not seen a lot of bugs so far.

Rehabs. (especially Drug Rehabs) require all new patients to put their clothes they are bringing in to the facility into a hot dryer before unpacking....even some Therapy Rehabs are doing the same...not sure about Hospitals...but it's so easy to bring in one Bug.

America got something the rest of world not got.is it climate

There are bedbugs all over the world, you are just lucky to not have been familiar with them. They've been around for thousands of years.

One of the reasons they are so prolific is because people are traveling internationally more spreading them here and there!
