Not very surprising. Slavery still exist for many years in Africa since.

Yes, people believe that slavery no longer exists. It does, and often in places we've never heard of.

And also, slavery also still exists in places we would never find imaginable.

It's only one country plus private that we may not know.

However, for this nation, it may end the slavery very soon.

There are cults and so forth where they will keep the followers as slaves for the leader, they brainwash them into thinking they will be taken care of and that heaven must be 'earned'.

In some places, an employer will offer an apartment to a new worker, but charge them more than they can possibly make, or charge outrageous prices to the point that the worker, even if they did find another job, would not have the money to relocate.
