The Naida S IX UP (which you have) is only rated IP54 so hardly waterproof.
The new Naida Q UPs are near enough waterproof with a rating of IP67.

I had myCROS' for 3 years I guess before getting my implant June 19th. I was pretty happy with them, actually. Mine were setup such that I had a couple of programs and change the volume on one of them. I rarely did as frankly I find it gets to be a bit of a pain pushing buttons and remembering which was what! I did not get a ComPilot until I received my implant. I tried it out on Friday and it works pretty darn well. Was able to listen to a movie on my iPad very easily. Have not tried my iPhone yet. I think you will like them.
