That is coming from a long time union member (that's me) in support of the unionization of WalMart's employees.
<--Proud member of Local 2614 UNITE-HERE! Union in solidarity with the UFCW as they go around orgainizing the Wally World associates over the USA.

:madfawk:Not just Wal-mart. Most stores sell made-in-Asia products.ravensteve1961 said:And most of the items made in china in wal-mart
Do you mean that if Wal-mart was unionized they would no longer destroy mom-and-pop businesses? How would unions change that?mld4ds said:I strongly believe to support unions since Wal-Mart destorying many pop and mom businesses.
Do you think union stores don't "ruin many environment" too?webexplorer said:Also, Wal-mart is the destroyer that ruin many environment.

at Wal-Mart.Please explain why Wal-mart would quit building new stores as a result of unionization.mld4ds said:Excellent points...Wal-Mart would probably accept the new unionized members if the Wal-Mart employees vote majority. They would stop building new units.
Why do you think unionization would create more deaf proprietors? That's why we need to see more deaf proprietors.
Those are not my favorite stores. I have never even been in any of them except Payless Shoes (one time). I have never heard of West 9. So, I guess I will not miss them.Reba, are you happy for Wal-Mart that you would be sadly to see your favorite shops going out of business, such as Goldiva, Victoria's Secerts, Bath & Body, West 9, Payless Shoes, ete?
BTW, none of the above are mom-and-pop stores; they are all national chain stores.mld4ds said:...Hallmark stores... Kayabee and ToyRus...Goldiva, Victoria's Secerts, Bath & Body...Payless Shoes...

WALMART and SAMS CLUB HELPS the mom and pop stores.. how?
many business restruant owners, etc etc.. shop at walmart or sams club... i've always seen many small mom and pop business come and shop at walmart for huge load of milk, huge load of paper towels, huge load of pen, papers, craft supplies.
restruant owners buy huge load of milk, eggs, steak, etc, etc.. because its affordable and they sell them at restruant by making food with them, and they make profit etc...
Hallmark isn't mom and pop stores.. its a large chain store.. and in fact wal-mart sells hallmark cards. hallmark sales rep comes in walmart and fill cards, etc..
mom and pop stores, restruant IS a TERM of family owned.. and many mom and pops depend on SAMS club or CostCO mainly because of bulk things for CHEAP.
