All about Paypal...

What are the pitfalls of paypal? I saw an youtube video (but didn't watch it) about a deaf man who almost lost $$ when someone tried to withdraw money from his paypal. Is that true?

I don't know about that. I would not give them my bank information though. But if it is a credit card, you are safe and would not be responsible if anyone tried to get money that way.

I think Paypal has a good reputation. I use it if I buy on ebay because I will get my money back if a seller takes advantage of me.

Paypal has pretty strict regulations now -- they require proof of identification if they see something fishy about a transaction. They will freeze the transaction until they are certain it is ok. Happened to me once!! lol

Paypal isnt so bad on the fees either. Western Union is bad.. charged me $20 for sending my brother $30 into his account directly. Grrr.

Well, I never had problems with Paypal since Ebay bought it out, before that it was not secure enough. Somebody stole my $90 before Ebay bought it out and I couldn't get it back oh well. I've been a member with Paypal since March 2000.

no problem with paypal at all. If somebody lost money thru it due to fraud.... well he should clean his computer (it's probably got spyware/virus/etc.) snooping on him.

I have no problem with my paypay to buy or sell ebay items since 2002 but paid fee for currency transactions at 3.9% from Australia. Better exchange American dollars from bank in other counties before sending it to USA. No charge fee.
