Christianity: A Different Person Is You Now

I have to get ruin of word "Rules for My Threads" since I got some more same PMs. I'd better to try a something different, anyway.

Three things for this thread I want to see:
1. This thread is must be stay clean, espeically stay on topic.
2. No debate, please.
3. Supportive comments & discussion are accpetable.

Any kind of religious (or religion free) people are also welcomed.

This thread is about a Christian, who feels totally lost and being "cursed" as if it is your fate, is able to share with his or her experience of accpeted to be Christian and a Christian losts many things. Some Christians may feel they have to or are tolerant with stupidity of the Christianity's behavior and attitude. Some Christians lost their friends when they are joining in the Christianity. Some Christians are bear with hatred of anti-Christianity, due to they consider the belief as evil, look down on, and etc etc. There are also many reasons that is why you are just different than others.

Your personal opinions regarding another's situation or personal experience should be kept to yourself, please. There is no reason to flame theirs. Thank you.

In the note - I do accpet a non-religious or non-Christian person's experience story of their own belief as same as what I have my own one.

--- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- ---

I just got bad day. What an exciting day, isn't it!?

I wonder, what's happen to my Christianty? My life?

Well, today, I hate when some my Christian "friends" pushed their beliefs in my other "friends", suddenly, the other "friends" hated me because I am a Christian "like them". It was turned me off totally, so I ended the friendship with a several friends I know. It's not my worth time, it's not my life either. I was also utterly pissed off when they looked at me as if I am some evil Christian and definitely felt sorry for me. Excuse me? I don't think so.

Honestly, I feel I am so cursed because I love my belief that I don't want to leave the Christianity. However, there are too many poor taste things have go on my life.

I hate when people or non-Christians looked at me and to feel sorry for me because I am a Christian. Sometimes, they looked down at me as if I am a wrecked person, stupid, childish, and/or whatever they can think of.

Sometimes, I want to leave the Christianity so bad but I need Jesus/God. At the same time, I dont want to leave...

Too bad, I'm "trapped" in a "curse" of my belief. Oh, a such thing is so sweet, isn't it? Hell, I don't feel so comfortable to say "I'm a Christian" when they are bringing up a religion discussion, because they will just -shrugs off- give you an odd look and do not wish to do nothing with you, at all. Really.

It's pretty furtasting (sp) for me.

At the least, I am not alone when I feel better while I read some experience stories of some users on LiveJournal communities... Less embarassing, I must add. =\ I wonder, have you feel the same thing that how I feel?

You can share with us your story, unless if you dont want to... don't post it with your experience story. It's not required to do so. Anyway, let's back to the point...

* Is it so hard time when you lost your friends because you are just Christian or... your Christianity has change into many poor tastes?

* Do you feel you are being "cursed" as I do feel it?

* Are you feel so annoy when they are on your nerve?

* Any reason?

I like to listen yours.

I have to go. I need to sleep for tomorrow, due to my work... I will, of course, come back and check on here. ^_^ See you around.

Simply, I was used to be a christian, but not anymore. Scripture grew and grew my wisdom and experinces when I read verses by verses daily. now I hate the christian followers.

You arent being cursed. I am cursed since Noah's times He told Ham that Ham's son is cursed.

Don't ask me why nor questions.

Oh no, you should not feel bad because you choose different belief.

I don't have any religion but beleive in Reality.

Mainly important is follow your own heart which religion, you like to become if you feel that the bible of belief is right for you then do that. It's your own decision. Nobody influence on your decision. It's up to you... You are free to pick any religions or not...

I have many friends who have different beliefs but I really has no problem with them for their respect as the same they respect me in return as well. We have friendly debated at private life. They know my way as the same I know their way. It's wonderful that they see me as person than their belief as the same I see in them as person, not their belief.

You should stay what you are and stand in your heart what you beleive in as long as you respect people's belief as the same they would respect you in return.

Example: I have muslims, JW, catholic, Luthern and mormon friends. I accept what they are as the same as they accept what I am because I didn't put them down and prove their belief is bad or wrong.

Don't worry what the people said about your beleif but look positive about yourself and look at your own heart.

Let me share my story about my experience and open what I feel and why I turn into neutral and decided to beleive in reality.

I raised to beleive God, Jesus and bible. I was being taught by my Roman Catholic Grandma and also was being taught by religion teacher at school as well. Some JW people & I went same school and grew up together and learn to know their belief.

I travelled to half world and learn different religion beliefs in different cultural and cultural background... which is really interesting.

I really never thought about against each other or prove each other that our bibles are wrong etc. Those people, I met in real life was like wow - share interesting views... really wonderful and interesting... I only know religion war between Catholic and Proteistant during historical time and also Islam war as well from historical and TV.

Until I registered AD forum in 2004 and was like to see many Christians judge non-relignons and different religion beliefs. I was like when some Christians prove me that my bible is wrong and their bible is correct and true etc. and tell me go hell... None of religions believers, I met in real life said like this to me.

But I would say that I Christian for wake me up and know now that the bible was written by different religion authors and then learn more about Evolution thru thread Evolution vs Creatisum, Earth, etc. and then learn from my boys who were being taught by Evolutionist teacher. My both son have 2 teachers is Evoluionist and Religion. The principal ask every parents for permission if it's okay for our children to learn both Evolution and Creatisum. I signed to agree because I want my boys to see both sides. Why should I hide something from my boys where we come from? No, my boys have the right to know both sides between Evolution and Creatisum. My boys look both sides. My oldest son is for Evolution and my younger son is for both Evolution and creationism.

In my heart that I can't ignore creatisum because I was raised to learn about creationism. I would say both Evolution & creationism but I notice that I depend on Evolution more than creationism but it doesn't mean that I ignore creationism.

Back to topic: I look both side between Evolution and creationism and then created a thread "Why do the people become Athiest". The reason I created the thread like this because I want to FIND OUT about myself until FuzzyFizzy convinced me that I am an agnostic. I check websites either I am really an agnostic or not and accept that Fuzzy is correct. I learn a lot about Religion and Evolution thru AD Forum. I AD Forum to wake up what really I am and open my mind to focus the reality....

for listen my story.

I see the same argument from people who says that Christians are rude, judgmental and so on. Nobody wants to see both sides, there are two sides to every story and the truth.

We have witness many unbelievers thinks they know more about the bible than the Christens. Who reads the bible on a daily basis? If you are still uncertain on what I'm talking about, I'll be more than glad to explain it all to you. Many times unbelievers makes God out to be a bad God, and how Jesus is a man just like us. There are many and many false assumptions made by the unbelievers by their own efforts, They are speaking about our Lord, Our Father, Our God. Am I supposed to sit there and let on the false words that been said about God or Jesus. They are violations God's love for people. You'll be surprise to see many different perspectives they made toward about God. How could could anyone allowing those falsehood being made to keep people away from the positive relationship of God. This is where Christian (myself included) steps in, and spread of the knowledge of its truth in which it states from the bible. (God and his Word are the highest authority, they are the basis of all proof) Unbelievers do not know or understand or would shut their eyes on the truth continuing argue with us.

Unbelievers claims that we the Christians are judgmental, so are they! They judged God on many occasion, does it make them better than us? They're not viewing both sides, just one-side. I find it to be ridiculous. Do unbelievers have any knowledge of the true God? If so, what do they know? What does the scripture in the bible says about unbelievers knowing God? (Rom. 1:21) it also says they do not know him (1 Cor. 2:14, 15:34, 1 Thess. 4:5, 2 Thess. 1:8, compare 2 Tim. 3:7, Tit. 1:16, 1 John 4:8) The bible describes the knowledge of God would comes by grace, to believe in God, his words according to what the bibles states. We don't use our own interpretations about God, We use the word of God on our responds to unbelievers. If it makes us such bad people, let it be.

As I told you before, so I tell you again, if you gonna judge the Christians then you got to take one good look at your own self because you're no better than me. (speaking to all people)

And Mann_K05 I do not care if I lose friends just because I'm a Christian, and I'm a strong believer of the word of God. There is no amount of love that Jesus had done for us, He died for our sins, no greatest love than this. Would I care what people think of me? no, I don't. I chosen to be Christian because I wanted to know more about God, and Jesus. And that I did, I have no regrets.

Jesus had been publicly criticized by people, even by the Jewish Leaders. Jesus also had been ignored, rejected, betrayed, deserted, condemned, beaten and crucified. Jesus did not do anything to even defend Himself, or even tried to.

Why do you care what people think of you, God will take care of them one day, You'll see. So the saying is don't worry be happy because God is with you, God can feel your pains and your hurt.

First of all, you aren't alone in your feelings and experience. Even the early apostles and believers suffered persecution from non-believers. Remember what Paul experienced:

II Corinthians 11
23 Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as a fool) I am more; in labours more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequent, in deaths oft. 24 Of the Jews five times received I forty stripes save one. 25 Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep; 26 In journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by mine own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren; 27 In weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness. 28 Beside those things that are without, that which cometh upon me daily, the care of all the churches.

Also, remember all the martyrs of the early Christian church that were tortured and killed.

Now, Christians in many countries still suffer persecution, worse than just losing friends or enduring mockeries. They are cut off from their families, thrown out of their homes, tortured, imprisoned, and killed. It will always be that way until the end times.

Why does Satan attack Christians more than non-believers? Because Satan has already "won" the non-believers. He already has control of their destinies, so he doesn't need to bother them. Satan wants to destroy Christians' testimony and influence on the world because he wants stop the spread of Christianity.

Non-believers who attack Christians are doing Satan's work. I'm not saying they do that consciously, no. But they are fulfilling Satan's task nonetheless.

The good news is that Satan's plan fails. Throughout history, the more Satan attacks Christians, the more they increase and spread.

For me personally, I didn't "lose" unsaved friends. I quit participating in the activities that they enjoy, and they quit inviting me. That's OK because I replaced sinful activities with wholesome activities, so it wasn't a "loss" but a "gain".

I still have unsaved neighbors, friends, acquaintances, and relatives. I don't love them any less, and we still have good times together. But our fellowship is limited by our different spiritual conditions. We can never have the same deep fellowship that is shared by sisters and brothers in Christ.

Oh, actually, it's not what you feel my pain as common. However, if you try re-read it a few times. Maybe you will get it what I am talking about.

I'm curious. What's change your mind when you were becoming in a different belief?

( chuckles ) Right. Agreeable! Cheer on.

As for Jesus' history past, yes, I'd heard of His story many times. It's a sort of similiar to the persent time, imo.

Actually, I don't. I'm dully getting tired of their "complaints" and I was feeling like they "stabbed" my mind to rip my belief off. Y'know? In other hand, I am strongly agree about "God is with you" quote you wrote. Yes... I definitely need Him. He had answered my prays sometimes (or many times I think? I dunno, I don't remmy. Aha). He always made my day!!

Yep! "Gain" is totally a fresh life, imo.

I still have unsaved neighbors, friends, acquaintances, and relatives. I don't love them any less, and we still have good times together. But our fellowship is limited by our different spiritual conditions. We can never have the same deep fellowship that is shared by sisters and brothers in Christ.
True... It's pretty difficulty. Nothing left to say for me.

Thank you for your second comment which is I agreed more.

Don't feel bad what other think about your feelings on how you view the bible or what religions you choose. I know I grew up from catholic family and my mom side is baptist. So I known all kinds of religions. To me none of them matters. The only thing matters to me just GOD, I don't care if people choose religions such as christians, catholic or others. A bible is just a bible written by men of GOD so that enough for me. :-)

Ooh, gotcha! Now, it's make sense. Wow, I'm so sorry how they did mistreat you. At the least, I'm so happy that your life gets better and porbably beyond bliss. It's actually really worth.

By the way -- our lives, yours and mine, are quite opposite a bit. I was easily picked on by non-Christians more than my Christianity. Actually, I could less care what they think of, yet I just tired of the same comments, agurment, and go on. Y'know?

Oh, aww. Thanks for sweet comment. I just want to inform you, I dont really jugde any religion. I never tell anybody else as common as "If you don't believe in Bible, you will go to hell; If you dont visit Chruch every Sunday, you will be damned; go on". I just found it a such impolite and rudeness, in my opinion.

However, I just wish all religions (especially non-religions) gain more respect and their personal opinions regarding another's situation or personal experience should be kept to themselves mopre often.

Thank you for understanding my situations I really appericate. non christians might be test you and find you in some weakness area, I don't want to see you make mistake like christian lady who involved with non christians for drugs and sex. Just stick to christianly what you believed and still stand for him..

Yes exactly, well-said! There is wonderful example and you already knew it shouldn't be judge others. I expect you watch your mouth of words before judge others and they would get to cross your line you don't want that, correct if I am wrong?

In the truth, I'm a "cleverly" sober. =P I am more an "intelligent" person than a "fool" person because I know what is wrong and what is right. So, dont worry. I, however, really thank you for your concern on mine.

There a part in your statment you said that why does Satan attack christians more than non-believers? I have to disagree with you on that. But I do repsect your opinons how u see it. To me, I don't really believe Satan just only attacks christians. "Satan" attacks anybody and any religions, not just only christians or non believers. So I am sure Satan takes any religions and non believers so I seen lot on so many post stating only "christians". It taking a bit to far. Hope you know I am not trying aruge with you, Just debate and opnions. :-)

Here's something for you.

John 15:18 "If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you."

John 15:19 "If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you."

John: 15:20 "Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also."

John 15:21 "But all these things will they do unto you for my name’s sake, because they know not him that sent me."

John 15:22 "If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloke for their sin."

John 15:23 "He that hateth me hateth my Father also."

John 15:24 "If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father."

John 15:25 "But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause."

Hiya, XBGMER (and GTM too).

I just want to inform you before you could start a debate (or chat) with anybody else here.

It would be nice if you don't make a debate with anybody here. I'm only seeking for positive and supportive comments instead of having a debate here. ADers are also more welcome to express their experineces of the similar story I experienced, especially sharing with us. That's fine with me. Agree to disagree and disagree to agree comments are accpetable, not any debate or kind of drama.

Really, I don't want to see anybody get end up with some dramas/debates here like those other threads had.

I hope you understand.

Thank you for listening.
