As for an example, or put it this way a person who worte a love letter to you, you love the letter he wrote, or you love him that wrote?. You can´t compare love letter with bible because they are not the same thing.

Example: I don´t obey what love letter says but give me good/wonderful feeling which is different as obey what the bible says. Example... a person read the bible and follow what the bible says and judge the people as sin because they abort their babies... or sex before marriage etc... because the bible says... etc.

I agree with u. I get so tired of people judging me cuz I dont obey the bible. I dont judge them for obeying the bible but why do they judge others? It is like they consider themselves better cuz they obey the bible. Puts a strain in a lot of relationships..like my friend and her deaf brother's relationship. He is so obsessed with Christianity and the bible and it destroyed their relationship cuz she got tired of him preaching to her. It is sad cuz they are both only the deaf ones in their family. She said she doesnt care if he obeys the bible or whorship it but to force it on her and call her sinful cuz she doesnt have the same beliefs is what ruined their brother/sister relationship.

Abortions..that is another issue and it shouldnt be a religous issue cuz in each situation it is different.

His life is run by the bible. He seems to cant think for himself anymore. If we ask him for his opinion, he would say "God this or that..." It is like we dont know him anymore. He cant make any decisions without "consulting" the bible. I think it is excessive and it has ruined his relationship with his deaf sister and his two other brothers and from what I hear, his children cant wait to grow up and move out.

You are not getting what I answered to Liebling. True, each person making a choice. Bible and God does not separate in the issue. Sex outside of marriage IS people choice that is choose to disobey what GOD says. Abortion is involve in religious issues. Did you know that very high rating doctors didn't know how that happen when doctor claimed that either or both women and /or child will die if a woman refuse to abort the child, but found out both are alive and healthy? Each person has a choice and right, we can't make people decide and neither does God and even many agree witht that. The chocie is each of us, either obey or disobey God. That's all it matters. Whether people believe or not believe God, will have same consequences. Whatever "sin I don't commit" is easy to judge. And also, whatever people enjoying doing will say its not wrong, but particular actions or attitude "I" don't do is wrong. Many are doing and choosing what " I want" to avoid convictions and etc. That doesn't make it right. And I'm not saying you can't have sex outside of marriage, that is ur decision, but that doesn't mean you are making it right and even myself also. The problem I see, is not what make me not a christian is varies of reasoning, but high rating is bec of anger and blaming and hatr3ed toward them.

Well, let me share my experience with you. Ok ?

Umm.. when I was young ( before marriage ), I was just like him. I think of God all the time after I accepted Jesus as my personal Saviour. God changed my life. I was smilin' the whole time as happy( joy ). I praised Him for what He've done for me everyday. I told my high school classmate about Jesus and she saved through my gospel. We went to the same church together. She started tellin' me about Noah ... that was her first experience to " tell " about Jesus to me and I can see her face was soo happy( joy ). She smiled alot, too. Before we were saved, we both didn't know what " happy " ( joy ) was. Now, we know what that was AFTER we became saved. We talked about Him all the time when we see each other for school. We experienced " spiritual fire " on the top of our heads when we were waitin' for Metro bus to pick us up. We can feel it. It is hard to describe this to you, unless you experience it then, you will be able to understand what I talk about. I experienced a new feelin' and everythin'. It's not the same what you feel like you are feelin' right now. The " new " feelin' was really different than the feelin' I used to feel in the past before I was saved. It's more like " bubbly " feelin' - it was full with water via bubbles in it all together. More like a pepsi when you pour it in your cup and you can see bubbles. It felt more energy, joy, healthy, and the real me. And, the mind was more focusin' on God more and more. It was really different from what you are experiencin' today. Ok, let me explain a little bit more here. I don't want you to get me wrong when I explain this to you. Ok ? I just want to give you an example - it is not just you but, others as well, because I was just like you before. Ok, here is the explanation : The way I see in you and your posts about this Christianity issue - I can see that you are in blind and say things what you feel but, you don't know what it is like to feel a " new " feelin' AFTER experiencin' God ( taste and feel ) while Christians can see the opposite side from you. Christian people can see non-Christian people who are blind, because they don't experience to UNDERSTAND God before they can realize that the Christians are tellin' the truth about their experiences. It's why it is VERY difficult to agree or gettin' along. Of course, I don't tell you what to do, but I can explain things to you to understand 2 different things in between Christian people and non-Christian people.

I admit that I had to leave my bf soon, because of our difference. I already explained to him about the 2 oxes ( cows ) that wore a yolk behind on their back to walk together..if, one ox disagree with other ox - it struggles to go the other way while the other ox walks on the different path. Both of the oxes can't split because, of the yolk and it will bring more strain on both of them. It will bring more problems later on. Both of the oxes have to believe in the same doctrines and THAT will make both of them to get along really well and easygoin', too. In fact, my bf is a Roman Catholic and I am not against him for his beliefs. My bf and I could be friends. I will move out sometimes soon and work in a ministry with my Christian friends....

Your description is an exactly what I withnessed at 5 weeks spa... They act as they are God's children and can't think/cope how to understand kind of life, we lead or focus something but talk about God and what the bible says etc. Yes, they let the bible run to their life... They can't seem to understand the difference between worship the bible and read the bible story... Yes, read/study and worship is the same thing. Some christians, I met there realized something wrong with them and want the help...that's why they went spa to improve their self-estreem. This is a not opinion of me but FACT..

Anyway, I hope your friend's brother will realize who he really is and get the help.

1 ) Yes, because it applies my life as it does to everyone includin' you.

2 ) Without readin' the bible, I wouldn't know the difference, because everyone does the same thing. Sins will grow and the problems will rise in any kind of relationship.

3 ) God knows my weak and strength spots and it helps me to understand where I stand. It's better than goin' to pyschologist or therapist.

Yes because I was being taught what right or wrong by school, parents and grandparents. I am older to able to teach myself how to deal, collect and learn the experiences what right or wrong.

I consider bible story as history. Yes I enjoy myself to read bible story and learn what right or wrong they have through and where we come from.... It's good feeling but not obey what the bible says. This is a difference.

bible is very difficult to understand to read. It is related to the history. I am not really motivated to read the bible.

I do read alot of other books like After Dead Communication. The book called, "Hello from Heaven". It helped me alot because it is the fact as true stories what other people who have lost of their decease spouses, children, parents or children. It was really impact me alot because I want to hear of the truth stories what they see.

Bible has too many change verse with various authors. The science have more fact than regilious. I do not see any much of fact science in the bible.

I become more involve in Widow/Widowers Support Group. I read alot of books lately since my husband passed away.

Liebling...almost everything u said in response to some of the posts that I was debating about are similar to what I would have said so u beat me to it!

My friend's brother wont let his 19 year old daughter date alone cuz he said that God wanted her to have an escort so he would have his wife join her on dates. No wonder as soon as she turned 18, she moved in with her boyfriend against their wishes. That is the extreme preaching that I dont agree with. I respect people who feel blessed by God and whorship the bible but to force it on others is when it becomes excessive cuz not everyone will have the same beliefs.

Like Kalista said, the Bible has too many changes in their verses depending on the author. Who knows which author my friend's brother is obeying? That is something I stay out of but it becomes personal when he tries to force his beliefs on me so everyone tends to avoid him which is sad cuz we all grew up with him and he used to be so much fun and easygoing. Now, he is so ready to jump in and criticize anyone by calling them sinners. To me that is negative thinking and I cant imagine that he is really happy inside being so paranoid and negative.

I have other friends who study the bible and feel that God is in their lives but they make it a positive experience and dont try to force it on other people or put down people who dont believe in the same thing as they do. That is called having respect.

Of course, what make you think God didn't say anything about abuse, serial killers, rapist and etc. Did ypu know King David had many wives. One of his son raped his(son) half sister? Half sister's brother killed him for raped her. You would tell Moses, Nehemiah, Elijah and etc, you have no right to judge people, they have their right. You would tell Paul also. God knows you more than psychologist. The way I see, you created the idea who God is or I say, you make your own god and imagininng him. Many lack of understanding what Bible is and about. Bec they don't understand. Bible isn't written start from KJV. Its been written all the way back to Moses. Now about asking for the link, I ve been seeing many women testimonies in church or conference. I mean numerous. The highest rating of abortion is bec sleeping around, teen pregnancies andetc more than about health issues. People get so mixed up by understanding what's the purpose of the Bible. In the OT very young king, I mean very young. After Israel living rebllion toward God where Jerusalem was destroyed, while cleaning up, someone found the scroll, when he listened what the person read, he was torned and declared all people together and they were torned, bec they have done evil. Like you said we learned right from wrong from teachers, parents and etc. How they know the difference? You(person) criticize them and cutting them down, Jesus didn't do it that way. The person ask how can we change people, I told the person we can't. Most I see of a person is on wayside road where, people trample on or bird came snatch the seed where the meaning people tho have very intelectual level, but yet blind. I'm human just like you. I'm not a person to make you change, bec I have no position to do so, what God called me to do is to share. I have many who don't go to church and don't believe in God, they read this and thought huh, how can you believe God but not the Bible, that don't make any sense, and I told them I know. But I don't know, I can't determine what I think of you or others. But I seemed to since, its not a person you and some other have a problem as a person, all I see, the behavior by can't stand a person who is devout christians. For example, suppose, you and I had a lot of laughs, shares the pain and tho you didn't know I'm a christian and very strong one. I treat you as human, brother and sister. Then one day, someone told you that I'm a christian, very strong one. Then you came up to me and ask me if its true and I say yes. Then you got furious, I don't go with them christians. That's what I've been seeing in here. The kind of behavior. But I do have a right to correct whatever someone misrepresent anything whatever it is just as much as you do.
