WOW!!! WOW!!! sorenson has outdone themselves again with two sided doublespeak marketing!!! They are saying dont worry, if you "lose" your wired vrs connection, you can still make calls with ntouch pc or mobile apps and point to thier website to get it but no download links. you still gotta wait till an installer come and setup for you?! hmm right!!! how many of you are on east coast and have the new ntouch software/app already and is in the path of irene hurricane that is coming?

here is the message they sent:

EMERGENCY ALERT: Uninterrupted SVRS for Coastal Customers
Sorenson Communications Customers on the East Coast: EMERGENCY ALERT

As Hurricane Irene approaches, we want to assure you that Sorenson Communications will be providing uninterrupted SVRS for you. Should you lose connection to your wired internet service, you can still connect to SVRS (and place calls to 911) through any available wireless connection using wireless devices such as your PC running ntouch PC, Android and iPhones running ntouch Mobile and through SIPRelay. Visit our website (Sorenson VRS®) if you have any questions about the communications options that are available to you.

Even if some Sorenson VRS Interpreting Centers on the East Coast are temporarily closed, Sorenson will continue to process your SVRS calls through our other centers located across the United States.

As always, we send best wishes for your safety.

Sorenson Communications
