let me tell you
yes they are. most want vp but not know how . some have vp 100 but wait for tech to come to fairbank and replace it all i have apply for vp 200 and now 7th day nothing email me for appt to vp 200 i have vp 100 and it no power on when i plug and even worst i apply for trainee but they reject me but i want them to make it easier for them and help deaf for while |

Or maybe Fairbanks don't have any VP installers so no one wants to drive from Anchorage to Fairbanks? Sorenson is trying to hire more VP installers in areas that don't have ones or don't have enough installers.

Maybe that's why Deafchef is fustrated. If you want it fixed right away, you might be lucky to know one of the trusted VP technican and tell Sorenson to refer their name and they will send them over to your place? |

Let me tell you,
When I applied for a new one- they NEVER emailed me back. One day they just showed up at my house. Luckily my mom was home, otherwise I would have not received it. I had no communication from anyone. They just.. decided upon themselves to come one day. Hm. |

It was close to 3 weeks before they surprised me. Might have even been longer. I just assumed they forgot about me and I was ready to try again when my mom text me to say that they came and installed it.

Deafironchef, there's no need to get mad that they wouldn't hire you. You might not have enough qualifications to get the job as a VP installer/technican. Any company have the right to reject/reserve whoever they want to hire depending on qualifications and all that background experiences.

deafironchef, If you can borrow your dlink or sorenson router power cord to see if the vp100 will power on, then you can prove to sorenson tech support (not installer ) you can call them to get a replacement power cord and they can ship it to you when the request is approved. Once you get your vp up and running again, you be able to have a working unit, doesnt matter if it not 200 yet, your oringinal problem is non working vp and you cant make vp calls right ? SO once sorenson ships you a replacement power cord, it makes the wait for a upgrade to vp200 much more tolerable.

If your VP 100 is defective, you email report to Sorenson support.
Sorenson VRS® Some trainers should go to exchange new VP200 for you. |

i I WAS VERY PISS OFF AT TRAINEE BECAUSE HE OR SHE CLOSED MY TICKET REQUEST FOR VP 200 THAT MEAN ALL OTHER BEEN REQCEUT WAS ALSO TOO SO I AM CALL CIR ASAP TO YELL AT THEM FOR NOT DOING THIER JOB I CAN NOT WAIT FOR HOVRS MVP TO SHUT SORENSON DOWN ! |

deafironchef - i am confused - is your vp100 working or not ? If not, then why not ?
As for Sorenson installer not showing up and replace to vp200, they dont just show up without authorization from their area specialist or higher. Now you said you tested at your Friends house, exactly what did you test ? I am not going to assume anything. You need to tell us whats going on so we can help you instead of getting pissed off. |

i have vp 100 and test at freidn out himslef have vp 200 he test it to see if wotk it not work at all second sorenson installer closed my ticket request and i have told them o have not got vp 200 and commuinty are wait from them too |

It is not necessary for you to being so mad yourself. I see why they said that it is not easy to get someone to come and install it for you.
My friend had a VP100 and now replaced it to a VP200 and she didn't have a problem since then so I assume that the company is aware of the VP100's problems. It took 8 months for her to get the VP200. It took six months for me to get it. Maybe, you might want to come over your friend's house who has the VP200 so that you could talk to a tech support on VP with your good explanation about your VP100. You really need to be nice to the person on the VP, otherwise the agent would think that you are too crabby that he/she won't deal with you anymore. It's because the agents have hundreds of deaf people on the VP everyday. I believe that it has to do with your router that needs to be reset somehow. You have to unplug both your cable device, a router and a VP100. Wait for 5 minutes. Then plug your cable, wait for 2 minutes then plug the VP100, and wait for two minutes then plug your router - to see what happens. It takes 10 minutes for themselves to set up automatically. (I was also told to use a Dlink router for VP100. If you have a switch device to hook the router, then don't use the switcher. I had one, and it does not work so I used another brand for the router.) You could apply an Ojo and a MVP (purple company). It's up to you. |
