Well this is no different for me because I am not going to pay so much money for DSL/Cable just to have a VP.
I would disappoiment if they cut the funds on VRS....

Yep, that's true ! I already printed and signed the form to send to FCC.

Done!!! sent email (I sent two of them, me and my wife individually) to add number. Do it same !! It's not right FCC cut back on our back when we are in the middle of technological improvement. If FCC cuts, then if we want vp service, either it'll be cut or we'll have to pay monthly for service. No thanks!!
ALSO, I appreciate FCC to let Sorenson to use ILS server running and Envision SL (vp software for PC) or use Netmeeting to have phone number to use instead of IP address. VP Tech told me FCC told Sorenson to stop using ph number dialing on Envision SL. It upsets me cuz There is no way to have call back or incoming call through router to pc or laptop webcam. So that's my concern that FCC need to stop being restrictive on deafie's need. Look at hearing people, they have better technology like Skype, Vonage ect to use while deafie left behind. They don't realized that we need to keep in pace w/ real world. So funding is very important to keep us above water!!! Thanks Catty |

Just think about this way, suppose FCC cuts funds entirely and make all of us pay just like deafies in Europe pays, we will be double whammy, pay for cable/DSL PLUS VRS service fee, would we want that? Hell no!
FYI in europe, the deaf need to pay about 100 US dollars a month for using VRS unlimited plan, plus they have to pay for broadband service too! That SUCKS!!! Quote:

Know what? Your website is garbage to me, and I find your site no use and super offended to me and my Deaf world. Because of that, I would NEVER bother check out your website.

True activist do not surpress anyone in their favor, nor opinon! If I were Activist myself, I would never discriminate anyone. Whenever I see that benefits everybody, I support them, whenever I see benefit support specific group, then I support them.
Good example Good activist would support Deaf that uses Sign language needs visual communication, ALSO support Deaf who is Oral, and depends on assistance with audio. Bad activitst would be one that support Deaf people that is good with English, and ignore the rest of Deaf who can't do well with English and who is struggling to make life ends meets. Isn't it time for you, Richard to do EQUAL OPPORTUNITY ACTIVIST? Sorry, until you change, I despise you MAJOR time. Quote:
