Interesting Video (referring to #2) The FCC told not to remove VRS provider (of who provide the equiment), yet CSD is doing that by erasing and replacing with their VRS. I would not be surprised when HOVRS and HamiltonVRS will get upset with this video.

Yes, that is what makes other VRS provider nervous! They knew they have to be prompt in answering your calls. Back then I'd wait forever for Sorenson terp to finally show up. Now they have improved significant... That is our BIGGEST advantage in capitalism world. We live in capitalism where there is freedom of enterprises and competition.
All VRS provider's ultimate goal is what? MAKE MONEY!!! they can NOT afford lose their customers to their competitors. So, CSDvrs was smart with the stragetry of getting VRS users attention F A S T, and that is what VRS users wanted the most. Suppose no other have decided to join VRS business and that Sorenson's the only provider, then I can bet you a million dollars that you'd often wait for an hour or two for next available VRS operator... That SUCKS for sure! Thanks to HIPvrs, CSDVRS, HOVRS, Sprintvrs, etc that want to get in competition! Quote:

No, I think CSDvrs Attorney warned CSD not to use any brand name, rather use generic name ACMEVRS, that is very generic. So that there won't be any legal liablity. Every business does that! Or maybe CSDvrs already knew it all along. FCC wouldn't say anything because they would want to wait til one of them tripped and make mistake and take the money back. Its their game.

Well now that FCC has required that the VRS can not do call backs this will definitely "HURT" Sorenson. But Sorenson still has the advantage with the technology of the phone-numbers. Unless people just start packing in and start using no-ip.com or something like that then Sorenson will start losing business and money.

I only see VRS destructive to deaf civil rights because they exacerbate the interpreter shortages.
Thus I'm seeing the shortages are causing interesting results in at least 2 of the California courthouses whereas deaf rapists are getting their charges dropped and freed because of the interpreter shortage. Richard |
