Looking forward to any press release they make. Can't imagine why they would win, though.

See? I already knew it long time ago! I am not THAT surprised at all. I think this lawsuit is rather frivilous, and at least I can say, WHO CARES?

Let Sorenson have their cute little phyrric victory in this long battle. Sorenson was never a deaf run company in the first place and the deafs are going to know that for sure and will not listen to whatever drivel they will be publishing tomorrow.

Its simple as a battle of hearies verses deafs. Sorenson is hearie company and HOVRS is deaf company!

I know that for sure as I talked to some folks in the last 24 hrs.

So, Richard, you've been talking to people about this. What's the news? Spill it, man, please? Whatever you've got to say probably won't be in any sanitized "press release."

Sorenson Press Release for 08-01-05

I dont know if any deafies is gonna believe any of this drivel from Sorenson that's going out tomorrow. Dont bother asking me where I got this from. They may make changes to it tomorrow. I dont know and I dont care either.

Remember Sorenson is a hearie company that wants to buy into the deaf community with fat $5,250,000+ donations and exploit the naive deafies and profit from it. HOVRS is a deaf company and has employed people including respected leaders from the deaf communities.

We need to support the deaf communities. We need to send a message to the hearies that we're not to be bought with big fat checks and be exploited!

For Release: 08-01-05

Sorenson Communications Announces Total Victory in VRS-Related Trade Secrets Lawsuit with Hands On Video Relay Services

Judge Determines that all Hands On Video Relay Services Claims are Without Merit

SALT LAKE CITY (August 1, 2005) - Sorenson Communications™, the nation's leading provider of video relay services (VRS) and equipment for the deaf and hard-of-hearing community, today announced that it has won a summary judgment by the Judge in a lawsuit filed by Hands On Video Relay Services (HOVRS) in 2003. HOVRS had sought damages based on its allegation that Sorenson Communications had profited from "trade secrets" and other alleged confidential information contained in its business plan and other communications between the two companies.

Dismissing all claims, Third Judicial District Court Judge Robert K. Hilder ruled that HOVRS failed to establish that Sorenson Communications used any confidential, proprietary, or trade secret information belonging to the plaintiff. According to Judge Hilder, Sorenson Communications' legal representatives "brought forth evidence that in fact Sorenson did not rely on anything in the [HOVRS] business plan" to go forward and enter the VRS business.

"We are gratified that Judge Hilder agreed with our consistent belief that HOVRS' claims were without merit," said James Lee Sorenson, CEO of Sorenson Communications. "We look forward to applying the time and resources that we had to devote to this baseless lawsuit to continually improving our products and services for the deaf and hard-of-hearing community."

About Sorenson Communications

Sorenson Communications ( www.sorenson.com) is a provider of industry-leading communication offerings including the Sorenson Video Relay Service (VRS), Sorenson IP Relay (siprelay), and the Sorenson videophones. Sorenson IP Relay allows users to place text-based relay calls from either a mobile device or a PC to any telephone user. The company's line of Sorenson videophones are the only customized videophones with auto-updating technology, which include the latest video communication features for the deaf and hard-of-hearing community.

There's nothing personal in these recent posts on Sorenson and their release that interestingly 'appeared in my hands' the day before it's officially released by the mole infested cheese block happens to be a deaf community issue.

Nice header -- too bad that would never pass as a byline. Sounds way too aggressive for Sorenson. Therefore, the whole article is suspect.

I agree with the way it sounds. Like I said, they could change it.

We'll see what they blow out tmw and compare it with what I fished out.

And then I'll blow my horn on them. Not a second sooner Dennis.

Exactly!

BTW, in history it is rare to win any lawsuit over NDA. Only suckers would try to sue over NDA issues. You see why Coca~Cola, Micro$oft, KFC, etc never release their serects. That is because they KNEW that once it is released, there will never be able to go back and that lawsuits will always be fruitless.

So, back to the point, this is STUPIDIEST topic I ever heard of.

Do you work for Sorenson?

If not, then why are you taking the Anti-Sorensen remarks so personal?
