Burglar alarms for the deaf?

Jane B., You don't need to use alarm or siren to scare the burglar away. it's the video that capture his image, his face, his clothing etc. You will have higher change to catch him/her. Scaring him/her away not going to help.

This is going to be off the point... I noticed that on one computer or browser does not show my video, it look like the video have been removed. On my browser on this computer does show a video?? Does anyone see the video above?

Here is a copy of my post again. If you re-read it I think you will realize that it was just about the point of the siren in those that have a siren. It was not about the effectiveness of a siren in catching the burglar.

How much of the point of a burglar alarm with a siren is to scare the burglar away and how much is to alert the home owner? If the main objective is to scare the burglar away it would not matter how well you can hear.

Hey @JBAInTexas
I am living with my 10 yo who is losing her hearing due to connective tissue disorder. Her nerves are deteriorating, and there's nothing much we can do about it. And yes, I have also installed a house security system in my home as I am working and sometimes I reach bach back late from work. Yes, there is my mom to help me. But I want to make sure both my mother and daughter are safe.
And there are home security companies that offer flash strobe lights. But I don't know if that is really necessary. I got an alarm monitoring system and the motion detection and yes of course CCTV too. These are good enough to capture the burglar or any other intruder in your home. Also, the alarm will go off when detected any motion. Also, if you have any deaf person in the home, it is better not to leave them alone. Have someone around them to take care of them.

I think a dog would be a good idea, it can bark and may scare the burglar away. and to top it off, if you cant have a dog, or simply don't want or don't like dogs. I personally love dogs and cats :D and hamsters too. anywho... a strobe light will work just as good.
