Maybe 7 or 8 years ago I bowed out of this site due to some heated tensions between certain members. I see some are still here but don't seem to be active and I see some others that are still around and active. I decided to come back and I see that Alex has made some good changes to the rules likely due to the issues of the past. I always liked coming here and having meaningful discussions with rational people. It was the non rational that drove me away. I am happy to be back and look forward to re-uniting with those that I consider friends. It is also sad for me to see that some that I considered friends have passed away. Thank you to Calvin for creating the AllDeaf Memorial. Previously I was aka rockdrummer for those of you that might remember me.

I have my reasons for not choosing the old name. If it is against the rules then Alex will let me know and I will decide my next move accordingly.
 
You're welcome. Within a couple of years ago, there was some known ADers passed within a short periods of time. When I was a mod, I made suggestions with few AD members about creating a memorial for well known deceased AllDeaf members and they really liked my idea. I had permission from Alex that I create a permanent memorial thread dedicated to them. We can also thank Alex for approving this too. :)

You can probably have them merged into one account (this one) if you want. Otherwise one account will be "banned" or set to guest at least.

That's from experience on another forum. I vaguely remember seeing your name but you likely stopped posting long before I arrived here.

Your name sounds familiar too. If you joined in 2014, I was long gone by then.

If it's an issue with the name, merged would be fine under this name if they can do it. I'm all about adhering to the rules.

So sad to hear about Bottesini. She was always very nice to me. I am sad that she is gone. :cry: I remember American Chopper, Lucia and SkyPorkie too. May they all rest in peace.

Ahh yeah I joined in 2014. I think there is a Ducky around here somewhere- probably why I had to pick DeafDucky lol.

Can't speak for AD but I know it's possible to merge accounts (at least on vBulletin and some other forums. I hope Alex gets back in touch with you- might have to bug him a little lol ;).

And a proper :welcome: back :)
