My dear sister was eighty years and twenty-one days on earth. Marjorie Diane Hale Callis was totally deaf at birth, and she met everyday challenges with a beautiful smile. Her birthday was February 2, and she loved groundhogs.

"Di" raised four happy, healthy, hearing CODA boys mostly by herself

to her family and friends. When she was four, she began teaching me ASL when I was still in the cradle. When I became completely deaf at sixty, big sis sent a card saying, "I told you so!

Always ready for adventure, she's the first of us six siblings to go beyond this veil.

My condolences to you and your family Chase, seems your sister left a great legacy :)

It is hard to lose someone you're close with. May she Rest In Peace.

My sympathies to you Chase and your family. Your sister sounds like a woman who was fierce in her day.

It's not everyday that you hear someone say that their favorite animal is a groundhog. She sounds like a one of a kind great gal. Sorry for your loss.
