I dunno, I feel like I could hear better, it's crap. It sucks and kind of depressing. Anyone feel the same? I mean, I'm still learning to speak smoothly and all that, and I would have preferred a natural hearing in order to speak smoothly and flawlessly. But it's the CI that's fucking it up. I guess I'm just another guinea pig.

Don't feel bad. We all want normal hearing but only normal ears can do that. How long have you had you CI? I sometimes feel like my HAs sound like a sound synthesizer.

Have you tried a different audiologist? Sometimes it makes a difference. Please keep in mind that CI is not a quick fix and it takes time to get better hearing wise and speech wise. Are you doing therapies? If so, keep it up. It takes time. It's different for every one.

It always take me time to get use to new hearing aids, I was wearing my old HA part of the time b/c I was use to way things sounds . I would love to know how things sound without a HA but that not going to happen.

the title of your thread reminded me of that time I sounded robotic and realized my old hearing aid needed a new battery *was wearing my 1st pair at the time* #LOL

How long have you had it? This is normal for most. Gets better over time.

Laugh...I hope you don't mind my laughing..... Before I continue laughing.... I would like to know how long you have had your cochlear. I thought life was messed up as for as me being able to communicate with anyone and having regular hearing aids that beep unexpectedly.
I am used to mine now. I do see the year of this post. I have had mine for a few years. I just got a new one this month. I still don't like anyone to talk to me from behind my back.... One year everyone sounded like Mikey Mouse and Donald Duck. I hope you doing OK now.

Your voice may only sound robotic to you , everything sound difference each time I get a new hearing aid. It took me awhile to get use the hearing aid I have now b/c I didn't like may things sounded.

I had my audiologist turn off some of the annoying noises in my HA

I did the same as LoveBlue- most of the beeps I had turned off. Now my HA just goes ..*poof* when the battery dies lol... I still have the stupid beeps switching between programs... which I don't really get because all of the programs basically seem the same to me anyway. But.. have learned which are best for using my DAI cords and how many beeps that precedes each program lol.

My audiologist managed to turn all the annoying beeps including the start up tune and battery beep.
