They had to wait 45 minutes for the police to show up, and two hours total before they could leave the scene.

Today's restless_heart's birthday. She's celebrating in heaven and the Patriots will win Sunday!

Miss you very much my bestie! We met here and carried on a friendship that lasted until you were taken away from us. You are in a much better place. Patriots4life:hug:
 
Just learned that our governor has declared SC in a state of emergency. Schools will close and lanes reverse Wednesday (tomorrow). Aack! :shock:

Same thing here... 66 counties under state of emergency.
 
A driver fell asleep and rear ended me today on the freeway. Both me and the other driver is ok... I probably only need a new rear bumper, but the other car is wrecked pretty bad with front end smashed up.

The driver only had 3 hours of sleep... We face the danger everyday on the road, you never know what can hit you in the back.

Be safe on the road everyone..

Thank you, the Honda that hit me were seriously damaged in the front end and the airbag deployed. My rear bumper took much of the damage, the guy tried to change his story with CHP but thankfully my boss came to the scene to help me out talking to him and the officer. The CHP gave me the report and let me go on my way while he talks to the driver and getting the information from him. He was scared when CHP arrived and talked to him and the officer asked me what I want to do... exchange info or file the report... I filed the report.

It's better to have police officer to come to the scene to ensure that both parties have legit information (registration, insurance, license). The guy tried to offer to pay me for the damage but I already had someone called the CHP to come to be safe.

I learned that Hanoi Hannah died on Friday. I didn't realize she was in her 30's when her broadcasts started. Always assumed she was a closer age to the draftees.
 
I learned that my area is in extreme drought.

We learned that someone must have stolen TCS's credit card info. The way we learned this was FedEx delivered a Dell laptop to us this morning. We didn't order a Dell laptop. So, TCS contacted Dell customer service. He spoke with a very nice young lady (from India, I think) who told us what to do. She also reported it to their fraud department. TCS checked his bank account and found that the charge was "pending". Dell will cancel the charge but just to be safe TCS is going to the credit union to get a new card and report the fraud. Grrrrr!

The Credit Union said that sometimes the thieves have the item sent to the cardholder's address overnight so that they can snatch it off the victim's porch when it's left there. However, our thief must not have realized that a computer delivery had to be signed for. If we hadn't been home, the FedEx guy would NOT leave it on the porch. As it was, we were home and signed for it, so the thief had no way to get it.
 
Argh! That's no fun, Reba. Is it possible someone took a look at your hubby's credit card info letter from the mailbox? About 8 years ago, I had to deal with it twice before I set it to paperless. Some punk used a check at the store. It was over $4,000. Had to call the credit company and filed a report and sent it to the police department. They never caught guy.
