Hi! My name is Gia and I recently finished ASL 1-3 at UCLA. I will continue to ASL 4 this Fall, and it'd be great to meet new people and put my skills to use :)

You are very very very lucky to have him as your ASL teacher. Not many great ASL teachers out there. It's a fact! Are you planning to become ASL interpreter someday?

I totally agree! I took several classes other than ASL with Ben (Deaf history, Deaf Mass Media) and I never met a teacher so passionate and sincere. I am hoping to be able to serve both Hearing and Deaf community as an interpreter someday. But I'm getting my credentials for teaching History first.

Hi GINA , Welcome to this group !
We can chat & maybe be friend .
Have a good weekend !

Hello! I'm starting to teach myself some ASL. And I wanted to know if you have any suggestions or could even help me a little bit with learning. I still have a long way to go. But I've gotten a lot done by myself. Or a lot in my mind. lol

Hi Gia. Sadly don't do ASL as I am from the UK :( If you ever learn BSL let me know :D

I think it's very different from ASL which seems the most popular around here. Do you do that?

Yes, I grew up in the US. I've been trying to expand my sign languages and my international cultural awareness lately.

Paddy Ladd's videos in BSL look very different (but enjoyable nonetheless). You guys use a bimanual alphabet, right?
