I took my trash bag down to the basement and it so hot , I open the windows that can be open but that doesn't help . I want to do it early in the morning but I am not
sure if it will wake up my neighbors on the first floor. I have no idea if they can hear it , I will have to ask them when I see them.

Does the trash make basement stink? Why basement not outside?

I hate doing laundry at Gallaudet and the basement in Carlin was just hot as hell in spring when FD won't switch from heating to AC until later in April.

OMG ! Yes the trash made the basement smell like HELL when people put it downstairs way before trash pickup. We have to bring our trash bags to basement b/c the bins are kept there and they're brought outside the night before it picked up. I had suggested getting a dumpster but the city won't pick that up and it would cost money to hire a private company. Some people keep their chicken bones and meat scraps in their freeze and put it in their trash bags to keep their unit from smelling. I do this too b/c I don't want to stink my building out . We also have a coyotes and foxes and they could try to get into bins if they were kept outside all the time.
 
I finally got the chance to do laundry. It cooled down here:)

I know new dorm at Gallaudet use basement for garbage only since laundry room moved to 2nd floor.

The laundry room was on first floor in cool area at Peet Hall when I lived there. Oh my god I forgot where I threw out my garbage at Gallaudet. Definitely not in the basement.

At Peet Hall, the garbage goes to small closet? :hmm: It is STINKY!!!

Hopefully the prep will be over with soon and you will be on your way. If I don't see you before Friday- have a fun and safe trip up and enjoy CT- I hope the weather will be cooler for you where you are going as it's been insane hot here in NC/SC lately.

Peet Hall doesn't have chute because they built in 1950s, so FD had to emptied the garbage everyday, and Carlin Hall, of course, they have chute. Most of days are alright, but much FULL on before school start and after school end, so FD had to emptied as soon as possible.

CI research. Yep, it's time for me to get evaluated. Trying to decide if I should stay local or go to one an hour away.
