Just curious.

I noticed that many people, especially trollers have multiple accounts to harass someone for not agree with their belief. I have been harassed by someone with 3 different accounts - same person so I had to blocked them. I'm no longer to comment on news section anymore because of trollers and haters.

There is no option to report for multiple accounts. Of course, my feeling is hurt by someone harassed me.

Do you have similar experience?

I noticed that AD forum is much cleaner and more civil than FB.
 
I only participate in private groups with people I know. I have noticed the main public Facebook can get pretty nasty.

Yes, I noticed that. I found why about many LGBT people and supporters don't bother with public comment anymore due to haters and trollers.
 
More reasons that discussions in social media such as fb is usually toxic. No such thing as respect in there.

Yes, some people called me as pervert and pedophile for being bisexual, also made fun of me for watch animated shows on TV.
 
Yes I see a lot of trolls with multiple accounts- mostly on the public/global news stories. Best you can do is block them and/or report them for trolling. I don't know if there's a rule against multiple accounts on FB or not as I've known some people to have several (non-trolls).
 
I get confused when I see people posting so many problems with FB. My "friends list" is comprised solely of family and close friends. No one else. So all the posts I see on my feed are good, friendly posts. If you are seeing junk or multiple accounts, you need to evaluate whether those people are worthy of keeping on your friends list. (I'm speaking generally here, this is not specified to any one poster here.) Time to weed out those who don't contribute well to your FB feed.
 
Apparently, you all are having more problems with FB than me. I haven't had anyone troll me. I have had a few debates about things such as gay marriage, abortion, and other hot topics, but nothing I would consider trolling. For the most part, my friends can agree to disagree and move on. they know they will never, ever change my mind.

Besides, if anyone did show any disrespect, they would be going up against 400+ people on my friends list that would call them to the carpet for it. Even those whom I disagree with.

A disagreement is not something I would consider trolling, I respect my friends and their silly differing and wrong opinions ;)
 
I am only friends on fb with people I know, but everyone I know knows I am going to tell them what I really think. So I do not have this problem, but it sucks when you can't be your self without people being dicks. Nothing wrong with being bi, or watching animated shows. Most nerds watch anime and a lot are bi (it increases the odds of finding a nerdy partner hehe)
 
I have 150ish friends. I do not have problems or issues with THEM or FB... but when I see a friend post to a public post THAT is where I see the trolls and 'multiple accounts' that troll.

My newsfeed for the most part is good with a few debates thrown in (we'll not go there) but as far as trolls regularly popping up- no unless one of my friends comments on a public post- since I see everything my friends posts.

All but maybe a very small few are people I know from my past either online or offline. Quite a few don't even post anymore. Sure as heck don't know 400+ people lol.
 
I've seen some discussions (news post or other topics someone in my friends list commented in) and many of the postings contains ugly postings and nonstop name callings and attacks. That's the part where I steer away from posting about news topic or other kinds of discussions. I never had problems posting on my friend's status because their post about their random life.. family, work and things like that.

Forum is probably the better place to discuss because they have moderators while FB doesn't moderate those who troll or attacks other's in their postings.
 
You would be surprised just how fast your friends list grows and grows. I have 90+ family alone on Dad's side, then there is Mom's side, then my own friends. I personally knew each person on my list. No outsiders. I shut down my FB a few yrs ago and never looked back. Way too much work and time consuming.

AD is more my speed.

It is only problematic if you comment a lot in public news area, especially controversial topics so it means you will get a lot of attack from left wing trollers, but I have no problem with my walls or my profile so I decided to avoid commenting in public news area because I don't want trollers to harassing with many different accounts. You are much milder when compare to other members attacked someone, also I'm guilty about attacked you before, also you used to attack someone before as well. Nothing is innocence.

Unfortunately, I decided to unfriend to control my OCD symptoms and had major problems before, but I'm not interested to debate with you and others because it is served on purpose and nothing to change my opinion, even there are some aggressive members want to change my opinion. It became tiresome nowadays and you are free to say whatever you want, but I don't have to response if I don't agree. Also, feel free to chat with me, long as it isn't political or religious.

Overall, you aren't troll, anyway because you don't use multiple accounts and make obnoxious comments that harming anyone.

I only have around 130 friends and I only accept friends from my high school, deaf communities and sometime deaf online discussion (such as AD) if I know you well.

No strangers, all nothing.
 
no one on my FB is someone I don't know. If I don't know someone, I do not accept their friend request.
