Credit history nonsense
A vent about credit history.....I HATTTTTEEEE that stuff. They hurt your life. They make you pay more for interest, more for punishments and so many stuff for missing payments or other reasons. It's a label on a person for what their history is like. Why pay more when you're on bad credit? They have hard time getting a place to live, hard time with transportation, hard time with everything. Many end up living with relatives or a good friend to be assisted under. They're all B.S.! It's all NON-SENSE! I highly disagree with the credit scores and credit history stuff. 7 years is way too long! We have to pay to check what's my credit history is like? I don't buy that shit! We're people, sheesh! Not robots!!!!!!!!

Yupp I agree with you, the credit definitely ruin our lifes if they were bad! My brother have a horrible debt because he haven't got paid from his work when he live in Los Angeles for whole the time he had live in Los Angeles! He have been loaning too much money in Los Angeles and it was all fucked up so he got a bad credit, he have been trying to set up the court to sue the work where he was supposed to get paid back, but strangely the state of California said that the amount of money he was suing for are not enough for the sue case!
But, me and my parents was doing the investing on the property stuff, I finally got a property with a mobile home on the lot, I allow him to live with me so that he can paid off his debt, my parents was helping him too. I earned nothing from him living with us except for the bills, all his money that he pay for living with me goes to paying his debt. Just if, nobody put him in a bad credit for NOTHING, then I would've got a roommate and got some of benefits, and he could have stayed happy in Los Angeles, but everything got fucked up just because of his quality of credit... *sigh*..

I don't like the amount of information private companies can legally obtain about you -- Whether you ever misssed a bill or not. If the government isn't allowed to have that information then private companies should not be allowed to have it either.

Yes I hate hate credit history also!! I agreed with you Sequoia...they are such so NOSY!! UGH!
![]() Some are 7 years and some are 10 years...10 years for bankrupting. It does hurt!!! My ex ruined mine credit and had to file one. So I think I have 6 years to go. GRRRRRRRRRRR! I really want to start all over but how? That's only way I can do and I do not have a choice either. So once it is pass 10 years I will ONLY get ONE credit card...no more than 1! Just one, period! And keep it clean and easy for me to get car or house or whatever in the future.

When I got divcored with my ex in 1997. I was deeply debts over 20K, I decided to get loan from the bank. It called credit consolidation. The bank paid off all of your credit cards and loan. I paid one bill directly to the bank until it is paid off. It will help your credit score increase and also decrease percent on your credit card insterest. When you miss the payment like two days, the interest percent goes up awful. For example, my son just finished high school and has full time good job. He applied several credit card, limit $500.00 for start. The percent was 32% on that bill. I said, WTF. I beg him to not apply anymore credit cards. He has no choice because he is very young and just has a job few years. he wanted to build up in his good credit to apply car loan, etc... I can see his point. I have his co-signer on student and car loan, it helps his credit build up the better score. Of course, I was nervous to have my co-signer under his name. And also, I want to cautioned with you. When you apply a credit card from the store like carpet, title replacement or furturies. It said, not pay the interest until 2010 !! Remember, if the balance that you owe that store by year of 2010. The percent interest goes up double !!!! I was so shocked because I applied BestBuy to buy the laptops last year. 6 months free interest, I tried so hard to pay it off before 6 months but somehow I forgot all about it. They charged me 325 dollars on the interest. Imagine it !! Be careful what you see the sign or T.V. adveristment said, no interest until 6 months or year of 2010. It was awful ripping off on people, we do not realize how much expensive on the credit card percent !! I learn my lesson, I must more careful what I apply the credit card "Free Interest" in 6 months. Make sure that I paid off that amount as zero by 6 months to prevent double interest percent !!!

I found the site for you, it may helps you to understand better. Eliminate credit card debt: a 5-step plan If I were in your shoes, apply other credit card company to transfer all of your debts to new company. It will help you to manager to pay the bills instead of burden to avoid to pay high percent interest. Keep your eyes on the sites to apply lowest interest to transfer all of your amount to new company. I am working on re-finance on my mortgage because of good time lowest interest from 6.55 % to 4.25 %. It will save you between $300 to $200 from your mortgage. I can enjoy to spend the money on my entertainment and work less hours a week too.

Good Venting, Sequioas...
I am very sorry what and how you had through, Sequias and Kalista. I respectfully disagree what and how they did to you. I got shock when I read your post that 32% interest for use credit card... Oh dear... I do own credit card but I don't use % interest on it because I don't use monthly payment but just pay off the whole month spending because I told them that I do not want monthly payment in my credit card but pay off whole month spending in end of month that's why they don't charge me extra % interest. I wish to advise you when I know more but I don't have any experience like that but it's great to have Katalisa to share her positive experience here with us with positive link. |

One is getting a loan to pay off other loans and just have one account. That kind is not the kind that hurts your credit rating. The other is when a company speaks on your behalf and tries to get the creditors to lower their monthly amounts and then you pay that company one payment and they distribute to your creditors for you. That is the kind that will hurt your credit rating.

The other kind would ask you for all the information that you have loans with and amounts and all and then have you sign a contract stating all the information and that they will call for you on your behalf and try to make it where you can afford it monthly and have more money for yourself each month.

I have one question, if my parents are pass away then their credit would be goes to debt on me? I don't understand about credit history, if any debt would be send on me when my parents are pass away? I just asked if happen in future.

For example. My husband passed away all of his debts mail to me. They wanted me to pay his bills because I am his wife. I declined those bills because most of the bills have none of my name on those bills. If I go to court to become his estate, yes I will be responsibility to pay his bills. I am fortunately because my husband has none of estate left over when he dies. I do not own anything like house, etc... I had to give up his new car because I can't afford to pay his car loan. All of his names on those loans and credit cards. They keep to send me the bills, I told those agencies to send those bills to the graveyard. I asked them if they need cemetery address. They leave me alone since then. They tried to convience you to pay on death people's debts. Tell them to send the bills to the cemetery, they will leave you alone. Do not let them scare you or destroy your credit history. You need to get an attorney, they have no right to destroy your credit score rating since your name is not on that bills.

If the credit cards both of husband and wife joint, if the spouse decease or divorce. Yes either of spouse is responsiblity to pay the bills. Both of spouses need to make the compromise with the attorney at the court to prevent hurt their credit history.
