PRE-FORECLOSURE A pre-foreclosure sale is a procedure in which a lender allows a mortgagor to avoid foreclosure by selling the property for less than the outstanding balance of the loan.
A sheriff's sale is an auction sale of property held by the sheriff pursuant to a writ (court order) of execution (to seize and sell the property) to satisfy (pay) a judgment, after notice to the public. Foreclosure is the equitable proceeding in which a bank or other secured creditor sells or repossesses a parcel of real property (immovable property) due to the owner's failure to comply with an agreement between the lender and borrower called a "mortgage" or "deed of trust." Commonly, the violation of the mortgage is a default in payment of a promissory note, secured by a lien on the property. When the process is complete, it is typically said that "the lender has foreclosed its mortgage or lien." Bankruptcy is a legally declared inability or impairment of ability of an individual or organizations to pay their creditors. FSBOs - For Sale By Owner - For Sale By Owner (abbreviated as FSBO; is a real estate term which describes the situation in which a property is offered for sale directly by its owner and without that owner having solicited the help of a real estate broker, implying that no real estate commission is associated with the sale. In recent years, the term has been used more broadly to describe the process of marketing, buying, and selling of real property without the representation of a real estate broker. A tax lien is a lien imposed on property by law to secure payment of taxes. Tax liens may be imposed for delinquent taxes owed on real property or personal property, or as a result of failure to pay income taxes or other taxes. Here's articles about the housing in Detriot, they are really terrible... Terrible.. Reason why they are so cheap because there is too high crimes, too low jobs available, etc.
Many Detroit foreclosure homes cheaper than cars at Foreclosure.com Blog Houses Cost Less Than Cars in Detroit - Associated Content Houses cheaper than cars in Detroit But........ California is not like that. California have awesome ecomonic system, probably the best around US, which mean have good jobs, low crimes, etc. RealEstateJournal | Orange County Ranks No. 2 On Most Expensive List If you read this article carefully, you will catch "Ecomonic Boom". That is why California is so expensive.

$5M fund announced to address Ohio layoffs Gov. Bob Taft announced last week that $5 million is available to help regional and local communities in the state address the impact of pending and future large-scale layoffs. Administered by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, these mass-layoff planning grants will enable impacted communities to immediately begin developing workforce development strategies to respond to the layoffs before they occur. The announcement followed word last week that Ford plans to close its stamping plant in Maumee, where it employs 700.

okay okay okay
there are 33,871,648 in California.... and I'll put 3 states together... to equal 33 million people. Florida, Arizona, and Illnois. 15,982,378 in Florida, 5,130,632 in Arizona, 12,419,293 in Illnois = 33 million people. We all know that Florida people want to leave Florida, because businesses leave Florida due to hurricanes, Arizona people lose their homes because of Countrywide loan company layoffs because California people couldn't pay off their loan, and Illnois people lose homes because of mortgage companies raise interest rates. But the Great Almighty California with many jobs available, people simply can't afford California's houses.

Michigan has pretty much highest ratio of foreclosures and population I've seen so far. My friend told me how bad the economy in Michigan....also, lots of people are trying to sell their homes so they can move out of Michigan to elsewhere and it's nearly impossible to sell their homes because not many want to move there. It's very cheap to buy homes there but there's really no job growth there. Many people move out of state and leave their house behind.
