Question about Pregnancy and childbirth

I am interesting to ask women pregnancy for experience. Please Non-pregnancy experience shouldn't be welcome.

I want to ask you the question. My friend said she had memories loss after childbirth. She didn't remember from High school. Umm I am wonder how about your memory loss when you was expect and give childbirth?? I never get memory loss because I am good at memories. I always take DHA omega 3 vitamins daily.

LOL. i don't know if it relates with giving birth to baby and losing memories. i think something that you have hand full with kids activities and focus on something else so important than what you had memory in the past. I admit that i often forget everyrhing so i have to make notes everyday to remind me of doing something important. I think I forget a lot because i have too many things on my mind and the past of my memories are fading.

Sure, it does. Although it does not affect every pregnant women out there. It just varies. Some are able to adapt through the body changes that makes the transition smoother whereas some women have various reactions to the baby growing inside. It's the same thing if you look at some pregnant women that never had morning sickness and was all fine thru the 9 months whereas some puke their guts out for 3 months, or the whole 9 months.

Personally, I do forget some things and that is normal because we all are not expected to remember everything that we say or do.

Okay, I just wonder that all. I am 19 weeks pregnant. My friends told me she was busy to focus her kids make her memories forget about past. If I focus on my baby and future kids to keep me busy. Does that make me forget about negative in past??

I had morning sickness fourth time during first trimester last Aug. The most time I had nausea that all. I don't have nausea since last Sept. It was not bad.

I didn't lose my memory but there are times that I have forget things such as like where did I place my cellphone or where did I place my keys or where is my purse, that kind of stuff as kids can really distract you.

I have what I call "momitis." It's from having too much on my plate.

Now, instead of caring only for myself, I have three other people, hubby and 2 kids, to take care of. That's info for 3 people, like SS#, drug allergies, bus numbers, phone numbers, etc. It's keeping up with the kids' activities--when am I supposed to be at the school to volunteer or for an event, when is the scout meeting, checking on-line grade book to keep kids on the right track, etc.

Then, there's the 4 critters I care for (reminds me that it's time for Frontline).

Don't forget family obligations like birthdays and social correspondence. I've got to take care of one today.

Oh, and what's for dinner? What do I need to pick up at the store?

Anyone else have momitis? I hear that it's cured in about 18-20 years after infection.

I too am suffering from "momitis". Does primary careitis fall into it as well. I have hubby, 2 teens, no pets, but mother with dementia and mother-in-law with brain tumor. I am primary driver, cook housekeeper, teacher (I homeschool) and all. I have to keep medical info for all except M-I-L. She keeps a file that travels with us to all appointments. We left Missouri to care for M-I-L after F-I-L died.

I did not have any memory loss, except for the MAJOR pain of labor before the 2 c-sections. I spent the last 2 months of 1st pregnancy with 2 broken ribs.

Wish I could. At least now, since I "pitched a hissy" I am quietly in my room playing on 'puter.

I will join the family to cook, then return to my room. Had a VERY frustrating time with my mother today.

My busy schedule is what keep me from learning ASL. Still, I can handle it and I wouldn't wish it on anyone else.

you mean mommy brain?

That's normal if you don't keep your mind active. playing games and such helps.

It is easy to forget a lot of things when your center attention is focused on the baby.

things will go normal once stress is under control.

It's ok, pinky. As long as you don't forget the baby, everything will be fine. And you won't forget that precious baby.
