Yep, I have seen this video before.

It is sad - it is very brave for the sad victim's parents to go through - we must remember Princess Diana should be here ONLY IF she wore a seat-belt at the back of the car.

Car is dangerous for everyone. take care.

I am new and just watched the video. I have 3 children the littlest is 4. I cannot imagine what you have been going through. God has reasons for this if not just to show the rest of us what to do. A friend of mine sent me a poem when my mom died...Those we love are with the Lord and the Lord has promised to take care of us. If they loved Him and we love Him they are not far away. You will see him again. I think that what you did here is very brave and thoughtful. Thank you, all we ever try to do is keep our children safe It's sad to see that the ones that are buckled up aren't safe and some parents don't take the time to buckle up their kids.

Thank you so much for posting this video. My children are still young but have long since outgrown their carseats. I thought they were safe in the seat belt. I never in a million years considered that I could lose one of my children like this. I watched this video and bawled because all I could think was "that could have been my son or one of my daughters" I can't thank you enough for the knowledge you have given me. That precious little boy didn't deserve to die this way. I will make sure my children do not suffer the same fate. Again...Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

~ break my heart...

So young boy doesn't deserved die... Breaking my tears..

Doesn't matter how many percentages safety the car seat as long you feel trust with car seat brand of it... 5 point car seat is making you feel 100% safe as long you feel comfortable with this and go for it... ensure make sure it's secured safety seat belts latched with car seat.

*Breath carried away* so beautiful video clip...
Rest of other members will view this and will help you guys learn this excellence educational!

This is so sad. Its scary to lose a child. My husband and I always make sure that the children are secure and all. SOmetimes they would put their seat belt over their shoulders. We told them to put it back where it should be. They said it hurts their neck. We could put towels over the belt to prevent hurting their necks. We rather to have them to be saved than sorry.

I feel so bad for the family. Thanks for sharing with us Deafmommy.

Many places sponsor a Child Seat Check station , usually at a local Wal-Mart, in which certified car seat specialists will check your car seats to make sure they are properly installed, etc. I took mine there and was shocked to learn I even made some mistakes that could prove to be fatal - and I was positive I had done it right! I had a brand new car seat and it was RECALLED...I didn't get any kind of notification even though I had sent in the card...whoa! Your local police station should have (or at least can refer you to one) a certified car seat specialist who can look over your car seats to make sure it's being properly installed, etc. Also, you may be surprised to know that not all car seats are compatiable with all cars/trucks/suv...there's a website (I can't remember where) that you can check to see if your car seat is compatiable with what you are driving.

one place you can go is the fire department. Also, depending where you are, they have free car seat checks at malls or other big areas to make sure everyone's car seats are installed right. If I remember, they say 9 out 10 car seats are not installed right.

I have a precious 3 1/2 yr old who is already starting to read and loves to play video games. We drive everyday to and from daycare five days a week so I appreciate you sharing this video! I sent a link to my wife for her to look at.
Your boy is adorable and I'm very sorry for your loss.

Wow, This is very moving. I hope people see this and learn from it. I had my children in boosters when they were younger. I just thank God that I didn't get involve in any collisions. A lot of Parents don't know, so hopefully this video will educate these parents to use a five point harness on small children.
