Have you ever tried learning foreign sign language?

i was just watching videos about FSL on youtube and it's interesting how they sign so differently from us. like in arabic, the sign for green is "slitting throat"

also, one time a woman told me that the BSL for chocolate is "period"- not as in ".", as in MENSTRUATION

JClarke is an Aussie and uses AUSLAN while also learning ASL for his visits to America. He has posted some videos somewhere on here where he shows the differences in AUSLAN and ASL. It's interesting to see the differences. AUSLAN is more graphic to me.

was just watching indian people sign.. i find ISL to be a lot of work! the way they do the ABC's is very odd..

I am having enough of a hard time just learning ASL with the limited time I can devote to studies, that I don't need to confuse myself with anymore.

I can speak a little in Spanish and German, but that's about it. Oh and obviously English.

I am considering going and living with friends this summer in Argentina and I would be learning Argentine Sign Language.

I do have several years of Spanish, so that should help the ability to read the book and stuff. It could be very interesting.

Where his videos? I interested to see difference between AUSLAN to ASL. And I like to see how different are from BSL cos AUSLAN uses lot of BSL signs and see how different ASL is.

I've been out of the country several times, and this would be my second time to South America. I would be Cordoba, which is another large city in Argentina.

Where I teach, they are offering Spanish sign language classes. The kids really love it...well, until they have a test.

I learned the ABC's and numbers in Russian sign, but that was years ago and of course, I don't remember any of them right now.

I know a little bit of french... I took some classes in college and I had an awesome teacher... I can read it better than I can speak it or understand it orally but I guess it come with being severely deaf.. no prob though... it was an awesome experience!!
