Grr doctors

Hi

My cp has been put down to 4 major strokes anyway Im pretty certain ive got Cortical visual impairment - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia as I have had 5 doctors and there machines say "normal"(its a washing machine cycle) eyes

The oop(out of pocket) specialist I saw today said that it was highly likely but wasnt worth the money getting diagnosed because there is no medical fix(there is low vision training) anyway I have an appointment with oop(out of pocket) nourn eye guy on the 1st of march

When will doctors LEARN theres nothing wrong with disability :madfawk:

inmate23: if you are convinced that there is "nothing wrong"- why are you making visits to the doctors? Why do you feel "compelled" to have them make diagnoses-if you know the situation?
Am I misreading what you keying?

this thread is rant about the medical community not seeing that people who function as Deafblind can be fine with low vision/blindness training

I am not Blind/Deaf thus no comment on this situation. However reading an article does appear to me to leave one with-- what can I do about this situation re "medical wise" in the future?

Your medical system is different than the one I am familiar with-Ont Health Insurance Plan-OHIP.

Good luck on your ongoing journey

Inmate23: hope your hospital can give the appropriate "low vision/blindness skills".

It was quite an earthquake in part of New Zealand.-completely unexpected.
