Exactly. It is not for someone else to announce the birth of her children. When she is ready, she will announce it here herself. Many of us have already received the announcement through other means.

Where did she make that announcement? The only announcement I have seen came from other posters discussing it. Please point me to the specific post or thread where Mrs. B made a birth announcement.

Here is a rule in both Deaf and hearing culture. Do not tell others what is not yours to tell.

Just do as any ethical person would do and aplogize for your breach in announcing the birth of Mrs. B's twins when it was not yours to discuss.

Okay - drphil, I am the one who announced Mrs. B having given birth.

Jillio, I hope I did not cross a line when I did it, but I saw it on FB and just made a quick post in the "What did you Learn Today" thread. I am just thankful that I did not give any personal info out, only mentioned that she had the girls and for people to check her FB page for details.

A message from Mrs Bucket's husband, found this thread very highly disrespectful that some of you spread Mrs Bucket's private life to this if she choose not to share the announcement in this forum. She made a announcement on her facebook account, only show to her close family members and truly friends who we trust mostly. Since her facebook account set to very private and she carefully chose who is on her friends' lists. This left us no choice but to remove some of Alldeaf members from her Facebook account to protect her private life and her babies' life as well.

Well - I am one of those friends that was removed. For that I am very sorry. Not sure what more I can do. I give up!!

No, you announced and dropped it. Drphil was not sharing the information with her friends. He was using it to justify his own lack of action. Very different situations.

Here is a violation of a rule in Deaf culture. A hearing person coming into a Deaf cultural environment, and then attempting to define and change the existing characteristics of that environment.

I'd never remove you Beowulf, we've been friends for far too long. Days dating back to the DC/DL days, I value our friendship very much.

I find it very sad that some people feel the need to justify their actions by PMing me and explaining to me after the fact what happened. Not once but twice. I am still in the hospital; recovering. We have two very beautiful daughters that I am fiercely protective of. I spent almost 9 months carrying them and I will be damned if I allow anything to happen to them.

It is at MY own discretion to share information and it is not YOUR own business to share information that isn't your OWN business to begin with. Just because I was happy to share information with you all in the first place doesn't grant YOU the courtesy to abuse it.
