I have a Philosophy degree, but it was a couple of years ago and I've forgotten most of it by now. It doesn't matter what you write, as long as you can back it up.

Really? Monopoly money...? Humans are very strange creatures indeed.

I see the OP has not responded. S/he's missing out on monopoly money!

screw it... I am Deaf and let it alone. I have not once nor do I ever dream of being a hearing person. Nah, it's to much to think about and it's not going to happen. So, no need to waste the time doing so.

Of course I would rather have normal hearing. I hate having to buy hearing aids and batteries. I wish I could hear music more clearly. Its such a hassle communicating with hearing folk and it sux being left out.

Being hoh is not the end of the world. Its just another challenge I would rather not have to deal with. But thats the way it goes.

That's unbelievable! I'm sure you have similar tales regarding your profession.

I'd rather have Board street and Park St. Nothing but the best for me.

I was hearing, I am now deaf. I miss some things, but since losing my hearing I have gained a better and deeper understanding of the deaf community. I have to say I prefer being deaf. I miss my hubby's voice and music, but then again, I have great memories. I especially don't miss the airplanes going overhead. We live on the flight path for Palm Beach International Airport. Planes start on this flight path at 7am and stop at midnight. They really screw up the TV. I don't have satellite (obviously) or cable. We use an antenna with converter box. Everytime a plane goes over, the screen is scrambled and then the channel changes.

To the original poster>> To answer your question and i'm not being critical but try a day with ear plugs in your ears and you will very well beable to answer your original question for yourself.
