Lightbulb Deaf Rights/Laws

I was wondering if there were any rights or laws that the deaf community was denied or limited?

What's it like getting into a public school or university?

Again, this is for my school project tbut I thought that maybe a new thread could provoke some fresh responses! =]

thanks!

Google the American with Disabilites Act. Then read the document. It outlines the law at the Federal level. Also, IDEA.

Trina,

I presume you're in a school here in the states and don't think we know how close the school year is to its end. There is way too much information on this to even begin to scratch the surface. Plus, if you hang around here and spend time finding this out by what we're saying, a lot of times, you will find out more than you'd like to know. Not necessarily a good grade would you receive, because the vast majority of experiences here are either not documented, families didn't care what happened to their deaf "loved" one, or a vast array of other excuses.
