Oh, and the Deaf Charter School movement CLEARLY indicates that regular schools/regular classes and being housed at a hearing school hasn't really translated well into a good quality of education for dhh kids!

7-10 hours would be properly guessed. For Reno, they would suggest them go to Fremont because it is nearest to Reno by only 4 hours. There are several kids who live nearest Reno (lake tahoe's area) goes to Fremont. Just let ya know-

Im CSD Fremont Alumni.

Oh that's good that Reno kids can go to Fremont. I think that maybe in the future a good idea might be to have dorms or "foster/host family" set ups for the kids who don't have access to Deaf Ed.

It's good that they got one in LV opening this Fall.

It seems like they only offers grades K-3 this time... will they expand more grades (4-12) in near future, I wonder?

Is there a mainstream program after grade 3 there? (I assume so)

I wonder if LVCSD is open to any children living outside of Las Vegas/Clark county?

The reason I am asking this is that LVCSD is run by the State, not CCSD (Clark County School District.)
